Not holding my breath. Good news is that hopefully things won't get worse.

When I saw the headline I legitimately thought it was from Kayfabenews.
I'm willing to give it a try and see where things go. Bischoff has experience working in high levels with TV execs, and Paul's track record on creative speaks for itself. So I do think these hires make a lot of sense, though I'm a little surprised to see HHH remain tied to NXT.
But the idea that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff would be running WWE flagship tv shows (not in kayfabe) while the producers are largely former TNA talent, including Jeff Jarrett? Are we sure we aren't in the Matrix?
It remains to be seen what sinks or swims over the next few years, but no question that it is one hell of a time to be a wrestling fan.

I hate GM/authority story lines, but Bischoff was the best GM they ever had. This will probably be unpopular here, but I want him on television.

TNA under Bischoff, that is all. It was more Hogan than Bischoff

Fox and aew seem to have the WWE in scramble mode. Actually it’s the low attendance to shows and ratings. Has nothing to do with either.

We wanted something different, this is it. This is huge news. I have always wanted Eric & Paul to help with creative in some form or fashion, so better late than never. Between Prichard, Bischoff, & Heyman WWE has rehired some of the names as of late. I like it. This. We beg for the "glory days" of wrestling...well between Vince, Heyman, Bischoff and Bruce, we have pretty much every "mind" that created every successful storyline in the past 30-40 years. Even hiring someone like Jeff Jarrett was a progressive move. I never thought we'd see all these creative minds in WWE again. Especially all at once.

Brilliant move! I just hope Vince gives them free reign.

I'm interested to know how HHH factors in in terms of the corporate structure.

Am I the only one who hates that WWE posts this type of stuff on their website and social media? I know Kayfabe is dead but they aren’t even trying. Half-expecting them to acknowledge the new b-t-s positions on next week's shows. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. Part of what made wrestling so magical to me as a kid was the thought that this was all real. How ridiculous would it have been if back in the early ‘90s you opened up your fresh WWF magazine and it talked about Bruce Pritchard coming up with storylines?

I'd be willing to bet, after this weeks RAW & SD, we'll get several people complaining that nothings changed. And that's it's the same old WWE. It's going to take time, and patience isn't something wrestling fans are known for nowadays.
As for Triple H... I think if he was in charge of RAW or SD, he'd have to take a significant step back from NXT to focus more on the main roster stuff. I'm not sure he'd be willing to do that. Plus NXT may also be moving to Fox:Sports this fall, so he might be focusing more on that than anything.

TNA under Bischoff, that is all. It was more Hogan than Bischoff Bischoff was the one in charge. He could've said no to the Nasty Boys. Even if Hogan was the face of the debacle it was definitely more Bischoff than Hogan. Bischoff had the power. As far as I know and have ever heard Hogan wasn't the one making the decisions. Prichard was the head of creative at the time. If Bischoff either thought those ideas were good, or just doesn't have the balls to say no to Hogan that's on him. As out of touch as he is with sports entertainment, and as positive I am that he wouldn't do it, Cornette would be better than Bischoff. At least he knows wrestling. I don't think Bischoff has had more than 5 good ideas in terms of wrestling in his entire career. I'd be willing to bet, after this weeks RAW & SD, we'll get several people complaining that nothings changed. And that's it's the same old WWE. It's going to take time, and patience isn't something wrestling fans are known for nowadays. This definitely will happen. Unless they bring Heyman and Bischoff out at the beginning of the show and literally change everything overnight a la the New Blood/Millionaires Club it might take a few months to see changes.

When I read the news about Heyman and Bischoff coming back, I was a bit floored. The whole situation is very "wow!!!"
Hopefully this is a good thing. And works. And if Vince can give them some free rein and trust, this could very well turn things around for the WWE.
Its also the fact that Vince (probably) sees these men as defeated by him. He does not see them as threats. With that in his mind, he might actually listen to them. They are not challengers to his throne like HHH is.
I also wouldn't be surprised if WWE wants to use Bischoff as a producer on some of their other stuff. He is still an accomplished producer even outside of wrestling. Maybe now we can get a new Eric Bischoff figure. I'd totally buy a Heyman/Bischoff 2pack.

I’m curious if Heyman will try to go after Punk. If anyone could convince him it’s Paul E who has almost complete creative control.

Yeah, I wonder if Heyman could convince him to go back - unlikely, I know, but if he doesn't have to deal with HHH anymore...

honestly this is pretty amazing. i have extremely high hopes that we will start to see ACTUAL changes in the way this product is presented.
i can only hope that both Heyman and Bischoff get nauseous watching the WWE horrible camera work the same way we all do

5 changes I'd like to see first and foremost...
1) Redraft talent. Figure out who would benefit the most and move them there. Bischoff has said he's not a fan of tag team wrestling, but I believe Heyman is. Use that.
2) End the Wildcard rule immediately. Make the brand split matter. Only unified champions should be allowed to appear on both shows.
3) Write months worth of stories out. Where is this headed? What's the payoff? Who benefits? What is our WM main event and how do we get there?
4) Give each show a different feel. Different stages, different music, different camera angles. No reason both shows need to be identical.
5) Redesign the championships titles to feel more unique from each other. Not everything needs a giant WWE logo in the center.

They should make NxT it's own equal brand and have HHH's NxT, Heyman's Raw and Bichoff's Smackdown go at it against eachother with Vince just overseeing everything but not really interfering.
