Yeah... I’ll just say I really like this series & the Owen & Benoit episodes were the best. And I wish some of the Hart family members would’ve agreed/asked to be interviewed.

yeah that was a sad watch. even my girlfriend, who was barely aware of Owen beforehand, cried a lot. Owen had that way of connecting to people and it’s nice to see he still does even after his tragedy.
I’d read Martha’s book years ago, but it was nice to see her and Oje get their feelings on Owen and his legacy pronounced.

I was watching with my wife, she loves the whole Dark Side series but isn't exactly a wrestling person in general. She'll watch sometimes a bit with me when I'm in the main room watching, or if her sister joins me (who actually has started to get into it). She tends to go research crazy when I tell her stories of behind the scenes stuff in general though, since that's what she's into so she tends to recognize pretty much everyone on tv. She knew about the fall already, but hadn't read a ton about it yet. She couldn't believe it when I told her they didn't tell the live audience Owen had died. About the same level of shock when JR talked about finding out 10 seconds before he went back on air. This and the Benoit episodes both definitely had her shook.

I thought Dr. Martha Hart came off beautiful as did their children. Smart and brave to pursue the truth and investigate further. How many wrestler spouses would have accepted the WWE's findings and moved on. Bobby Talbert, Kevin Dunn, KCPD, and Vince came off bad. The "I resent your tone" clip is all you need to know about Vince if this season wasn't already an eye opener. Fans need to realize the WWE HOF is not a real place. It's just an event that happens on WrestleMania Weekend. Whether or not a wrestler is inducted or not into the "Hall" doesn't define their contributions as you can see by who has gotten in and who has been left off all these years. Baseball HOF has writers and a strict voting process. The WWE HOF is if Vince wants you in or not. One person, one human gets to decide. It's not about being honored properly or getting snubbed, it's just how Vince feels. Some people on these boards owe apologies for their Martha hit pieces. Tell that to Pete Rose, Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens and countless others who baseball writers (not players, not vets...WRITERS) dont want in because they may or may not have "cheated" yet A) it wasnt illegal at the time and B)many had hall of fame careers before accusations. There is no "legit" Hall of Fame in sports, its always someones opinion and its almost always biased. Outside of the celebrity wing there isnt 1 wrestler in the WWE HOF that doesnt belong there.

So now that Season 2 has ended, what did everyone prefer?? Season 1 or Season 2??
Season 1 had less episodes but I legit enjoyed them more so than Season 2 for some reason. Aside from the Benoit, Owen and Snuka stories, the rest were decent. But Season 1 had Von Erich's, Hernandez, Brody, Montreal Screw Job, Savage/Liz.... it just seemed more exciting to me.

I'm going to throw this out there. And I am guessing it was because he was exhausted and tired. But the home videos of Owen, he didn't look that happy. I've met him (the Ken Shamrock story) and he was laughing and happy. Maybe he didn't want to do it in the beginning of Martha and his relationship. But maybe he started enjoying it. And kinda telling her he wasn't happy? I have no clue. Just the videos he wasnt really smiling often.

My point is those ball players aren’t being kept out or inducted by one guy. Here are the 10 celebrities in the WWE Hall, who doesn’t belong? Rose, Fridge, Uecker, Carey, Tyson, Trump, MrT, Arnold, Snoop, Kid Rock. Honestly the celebrity wing should only be Trump, Tyson, Mr. T, Arnold, and Cyndi Lauper (who isn’t even in it)

I have so much respect and admiration for what a principled woman Martha is. I've enjoyed nearly all of this season, I still need to go back and watch a couple from season 1. Season 1 was vastly superior. the content & presentation were excellent.
I enjoyed the Owen episode from this season a lot. It far exceeded my expectations but the rest were sh*te. The Benoit episode was the same melodramatic pap we've heard 1000 times with some good info interspersed but not enough to save it.
LOD should have been a 2 parter… the timeline & editing was all over the place in it & once again Animal contradicts earlier stuff he's said & written.
Snuka & Bravo episodes could have been WAY better.
Brawl for all was passable but felt strangely like they were holding back?
New Jack ep? get outta here with that sh*te.

LOVE The Road Warriors but Animals constant backtracking & flights of fancy with his ego put on on the same level as Nash for rewriting history.

My only problem with the show, is that more often than not they're only telling one side of the story. Like I said earlier, they could have done so much more with the Owen episode. Why not interview Bret? Why not the police? Why not the guy who was responsible for the stunt? Rather than just saying Vince is the devil each week, give fans multiple perspectives and let them judge for themselves. For example I saw someone on Reddit had posted comments made the guy (forgot his name) in charge of the stunt. The one Martha named in the episode. He said that the clip they used was supposed to hold 3600 pounds. But the manufacturer had problems with their orders, but didn't bother to issue a warning. He also said people under oath were lying about seeing him cutting the cord and supposedly talking to McMahon about "ending the Harts". I would have liked that to be included. Give him a chance to defend himself at least. Why not interview the KC police about their findings? Ask them if carrying on the show hindered their investigation. See what conclusion they came up with. And I get it, shows like this have a narrative in mind beforehand. And that if they hear something that doesn't fit that narrative, it probably doesn't make the episode. But personally I would like to have seen more done.

it’s still bizarre that with all of wcw’s production woes and disorganization that the wwe were the one to have the tragic incident. sting shot down from the ceiling how many times...

My only problem with the show, is that more often than not they're only telling one side of the story. I think that's why the Brawl For All episode was so well rounded. Russo kinda defended it, Cornette was shitting on it. Then you had talk from the guys directly effected by it, even Butterbean. All sides covered.

[/quote] Considering how many autograph conventions and shows Bret has done which are low level, I'm sure they reached out but I'm guessing if the show directly related to something bad Vince McMahon did that wasn't Montreal related Bret passed. I'm a huge Bret fan but it's all about HIS legacy, nothing more. Bret might talk poorly of Shawn and Hunter in shoots but at this point with Vince owning so much of Vince's footage he will keep his mouth shut about anything that will portray Vince poorly. I'm sure the producers reached out to a lot of Hart family but they just can't resist that free plane ride and hotel accommodations if Bret gets another appearance request from WWE.
