Shane Douglas vs Terry FunkThe first big match between these two would take place in early 94 at the ECW Arena for the World Title. The match would end in a draw but this feud was just beginning. The following month at When the Line was Crossed,These two would plus Sabu would compete for the gold in a 3 way dance with for the first 15 mins it was just Sabu/Douglas. Like the month before this match would go to a draw. It did drag at times but this match is still a must see.Definitely a match I would recommend to fans who wanna check out ECW.The post match stuff with Funk/Douglas brawling was well done.Shane did a great job fitting into the Franchise character no doubt about that. Douglas would get the belt back though a month later in the Ultimate Jeopardy match. This would be it for now between the two but they would rekindle their bad blood 3 years later. 1997 was a big year for Funker as he won the ECW World Title for the final time at Barley Legal that year with him having a decent little run until losing it to Sabu that Summer at Born To Be Wired.Following this Douglas would enter the picture and we would have deja vu with the 3 men penciled in for another go around at Hardcore Heaven that year.Douglas in the end would prevail to start his 3rd reign was World Champion.Again these guys delivered. www.wwe.com/videos/sabu-vs-terry-funk-vs-shane-douglas-hardcore-heaven-1997-triple-threat-ecw-world-heavyweight-championship-elimination-matchOverall... One of the classic ECW feuds here in the history books.Funk did a good job elevating Douglas into that main event role plus Douglas gelled right into that heel character nicely.Sabu as well deserves credit.Thumbs up.

One of my favorite feuds and I loved the interaction in the post match at Night The Line Was Crossed. Terry Funk was about “making” guys in ecw like Heyman says. He sure did so with Shane, who to me cuts one of the best heels promos.

Brain Shane and Funk also feuded a little bit in wcw in 2000. I remember a segment where he and other heels were beating up Funk in front of his daughter while Tammy was holding her back from trying to make the save.

Yeah during that Millionaires Club/New Blood angle. Wanted to focus on their ECW feud as that was the bulk of it.

Hulk Hogan vs Paul OrndorffBefore we get into the main course of this feud, I gotta mention their earlier stuff in 84/5. These two would collide at MSG in what was a great prelude to what was to come. Great push for Orndorff here as he was brand new to the WWF. This would all lead to a year later at the first Mania in the big main event with Orndorff/Piper against Hogan and Mr. T. In the end the babyfaces would win thanks to miscommunication from the heels. This would all lead to Mr. Wonderful turning babyface that Spring. This would open up a new friendship between the two as they would tag up off and on for a good year. Now we get to where it all turned south during the Summer of 86. After finding out by phone Hogan didnt have time to train with em(which ticked off the Wonderful one)something bad was bound to happen. You can see the signs here of dissention during a match with the Moondogs.... Things would implode not long after this on an episode of Championship Wrestling when during a tag match against Bundy/Studd. A heel turn that holds up 35 years later. This was great stuff Orndorff after this would rejoin up with the Family. The promos explaining himself were also gold... This would all lead to the big showdown for the gold at the Big Event in Toronto that August. In the end though we didnt get a clean win.Orndorff getting the big rub though in the main event in front of a packed house stadium was nice. These two would continue on into the Fall months but again none of the matches they had seemed to be the end for this heated feud. This would change though on SNME in early 87 as these two would be locked in a 15 foot high steel cage to settle the score once and for all.It looked like the match would end again indecisively when both guys would hit the floor at the same time but it was restarted and Hogan would prevail(BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!) to put an end to the feud.Again good stuff here and result aside a good way to end this. Overall... Classic Hogan 80s feud here. I've always been a Mr. Wonderful fan so seeing him in the main event picture was great. It was good though Andre could go by Mania III as as hot as this feud was it just wasnt going the match the magnitude of those two on the big stage. Another easy thumbs up here and a another must see for fans who wanna check out old school wrestling.

Tremendous feud. Paul doesn't always get mentioned when people talk about best Hogan feuds but he should. I've seen shoot interviews from other wrestlers and its been said that they sold out arenas everywhere they went. Paul was tremendous, and just like Piper, he definitely could have held the WWF title well during this time, obviously not for long as Hogan was the clear top guy, but he definitely could have held the belt for a few months and dropped it back to Hogan before WM3.

He doesn’t get mentioned nearly enough in general. I personally think he’s one of the best to lace a pair of boots.
