Cant talk about this feud without posting this gem... You can tell they had a blast with this and 20 years later it's still gold Same people that loved this hated a segment on AEW recently with Jericho and MJF singing. I thought the latter was better. Anyway Rock vs Austin is one of the best feuds/rivalries in history. Their WM 17 match and the build to it was nothing short of epic. I still get goosebumps when I watch that video set to Limp Bizkit’s my way or the highway. I remember wondering how Steve didn’t die when Rock knocked him in the river before throwing the belt in there “you want your belt, take it to hell with you!”. The “funeral” the following week was classic stuff too.

One of my all time favorite feuds. Their match at WrestleMania X7 (even with that ending) remains my favorite WrestleMania main event of all time. Two of the biggest stars of all time and two of the best on the mic and I do not care what anyone says, for me, two of the best in the ring as well.
I really do not think that these two ever had a bad match, I thought the stuff they did in 1997 with the IC title was gold, especially when Austin was throwing all the crapof the bridge lol. One match that I feel kind of gets overlooked is their one from Backlash 1999, which I always felt was way more fun than the one they had at WrestleMania XV.
Seeing these two go at it live in 2001 at Rebellion was a massive deal for me back in the day, it was their rematch from WrestleMania X7 and while it was a UK PPV and we all knew there was no way in the hell the title was going to change hands, it was still amazing to see live.

The ending of WM 17 is one of those out of the world surprises that doesn't happen too often these days. I agree Backlash 99 Austin vs Rock was better than WM 15. Their match at In Your House DX was great while it lasted as well.

Rock v Austin must be one of the greatest feuds ever. They must have been involved with each other on at least four occasions, yet every time, it was so fresh that you could believe it was the first time they interacted with each other.
The IC feud was pretty awesome. Would have been good if The Rock took the belt off Austin clean, but it was none too shabby how it came about (and if I remember rightly, Austin was still suffering from the stinger he got at SSlam 97).
And the Rock Concert is one of the funniest segments I’ve seen in wrestling. At points, you could see that Austin was close to cracking up.

King laughing on commentary is gold.

Demolition vs Colossal ConnectionThis whole feud would stem from Demo defeating the Brain Busters on Superstars prior to SSeries to become 2x champs. An irate Bobby Heenan would then fire the Busters with him then being hell bent on getting the belts back. That would happen by years end on Superstars when newly formed team of Andre and Haku known as the Colossal Connection would defeat Demo. Andre being in bad health here this was for the best he was put in a tag setting at this point. They would interact in early 1990 in the Rumble with Ax/Andre early on then Smash/Haku later in the match. They would also have a match that wasnt released until many many years later as part of the Unreleased 86-95 DVD(great set btw that I highly recommend) This would all climax at Mania VI in Toronto when Demo would defeat their foes to win their 3rd and final tag title. That POP man is still ringing over 30 years later. This would also be Andre's swan song in the WWF as he would turn babyface post match in a classic bit. Overall...Fun feud here. It was great seeing Andre get a little title run to end his WWF career.Plus the ovation he got as rode off into the sunset at Mania will always be a memorable moment. Thumbs up.

Just read Ax is experiencing Covid symptoms. It's not confirmed he has it but his grandson got it last week. All the best to him and his family.
Get well soon Mr. Eadie!

Firstly, that’s bad news about the COVID situation. Really hope all is ok with him and his family.
What a fun couple of matches. You know, that’s the first time I’ve ever seen CC actually winning the titles. Loved in the second match when Ax clapped his hands and pretended to have tagged behind the refs back. My favourite cheating move. Loved that Andre got the pin for the belts as well, he looked genuinely excited to have won.
Great as always Brain! And I’m glad MKsavage showed the slap.

Demolition were so over at WrestleMania VI! Only Hogan and Warrior got a bigger pop than they did, its such a shame their entrance is butchered on the Network version of WrestleMania VI. I loved Demolition during this time and this really was their peak before they were slowly getting put out to pasture. The match, considering Andre's limitations is far better than you would think.
As a kid, seeing Andre smack around Heenan was awesome and I never actually noticed until like 30 years later (because of Something to Wrestle) that he never comes close to hitting him lol.
