Demolition was awesome, shame the WWF ruined them in late 1990. Though, I think Ax's health issues were probably the main reason for that, #2 being LOD - Vince wanted these guys since the mid 80s. A long running feud with Demolition and LOD would have been great, maybe a slow build to the feud then the blow-off match at WM7.

I thought it was nice that Andre got a tag title reign. Same with Haku. The match at WM 6 was pretty good. A lot of people say that was a one match show, but WM 6 had a few good matches including Demolition vs Colossal Connection.

After Rock vs Austin, Demolition vs Andre/Haku, Jake vs Rude, and Taz vs Sabu can you do the Freebirds vs Von Erichs? LOD vs Natural Disasters is a feud someone suggested, but not sure which order that falls into? That, Rude/Jake, Taz vs Sabu, Freebirds vs Von Erichs, and Earthquake vs Yokozuna are coming up. |

Page 29 Ok mid-Nov that was around the time my father-in-law took his final turn for the worse and went to the hospital a few days later. That’s why I don’t remember or just missed it. |

Jake Roberts vs Rick Rude It was at WM IV where these two would be paired together in the tourney to crown a new WWF Champ.This is a match here that you would think be great with the talent involved but on that night they just didnt click imo. In the end the match would end in a draw which eliminated both men from the competition but oh boy we're far from done here. That Spring on Superstars Rude would look into the crowd for a woman who he would then kiss but on this day he picked the wrong woman... Instant heat for Rude here.Just an all around great start to this feud.Jake would respond not long after. Again when he spoke you listened... They would then have matches in all the big cities like Philly, NY and LA.I can recall one of em being a DDT vs Rude Awakening match.But yeah way better work than the Mania match for sure. At SSlam that August, Rude would face JYD. Just as he was going to hit a move off the top rope he unveil an extra pair of tights under his tights he was wearing which had the face of Cheryl Roberts on em.Jake warned em about that and boy did he keep his word! The feud would climax on SNME that October in a match that ended inconclusively thanks from interference from Bobby Heenan and Andre.This would end the feud as Jake would enter his next feud with Andre. He would get some sweet revenge though at SSeries when he would pin Rude after a DDT. Overall... Another classic Jake feud here.Both guys got off to a rocky start at Mania like I said but they rebounded nicely as the feud really got in motion.Funny to look back on how this feud involved Jake's real life wife at the time then just 3 years later he's in another feud involving a spouse but that time he's the one doing the terrorizing like Rude was doing here. Thumbs up

Great feud with Rude being a great slimy heel and Jake being great as always in promos. The matches left me a little wanting though. For all the times I watched Mania IV I’ll admit the FF was used often for that one.

Another great feud with two of the best. Like Grenouille said, Rude did a great job playing the slimy, womanizing heel, and Jake did a great job as the husband defending his wife. I think each of the matches after WrestleMania were good, they seemed to have good chemistry together. |

I always wondered whether it was actually Robert’s wife.
Unpopular opinion but as much as I like Rude, this isn’t a feud that had me greatly excited. The matches just don’t seem all that. Although I did get a giggle at the Survivor Series spot, where Rude ad his tights pulled down and walked in to the DDT.

Rude vs Jake was a great feud and that segment where Cheryl slapped Rude was classic. I’m surprised their WM 4 match didn’t have a winner and tbh it wasn’t a great match. Their house show matches were good like the one where the match ends when one guy does his finisher on the other.
