I only buy Legends and Divas figures though I am cutting back on repeats of guys I already have. I am open to buying figures of wrestlers I don't already have if I see them at discounted prices however.

Serious question. If you only buy figures of women wrestlers, or mostly women wrestlers, what's the rationale?
No hate, just genuinely curious.

Haven’t never understood people who only buy 1 of each guy. I mean me, I collect from late 80s to end of attitude era. But I buy every elite between those years rather I liked them or not or if there’s 15 different attires of them, I will buy them. I’m not gonna pass on a figufe because the face scan is bad, or his skin tone isn’t right, or if the knee pad isn’t right. I mean most the time I would have never known something being wrong on a figure until I see somebody on here talking about It. Support the line and let’s hope it continues.

Serious question. If you only buy figures of women wrestlers, or mostly women wrestlers, what's the rationale? No hate, just genuinely curious. Rationale: I am woman. I like women. It's less of a man-hating thing and more of an "I like empowered women" thing. Seeing these women come out week after week and whoop all sorts of butt warms my little lady heart, and thus, I tend to gear my collect more towards the women then the men. That said, there are some male wrestlers who I enjoy and collect. Shane and his family are obvious ones, but I also enjoy a lot of the more eccentric characters such as the Three Faces of Foley, The Hurrifriends, The Hardyz, and some others. Plus, I have a fondness for suited figures. That comment about how "A man in a suit is the women's equivalent of a girl in a bikini", well in my experience, there is definitely some merit to that statement. But yeah, it pretty much boils down to I'm a woman myself, so I like the ladies better.

I buy all of the legends/flashbacks. Most of the certain roster too. I won’t buy a lot of Romans because of his very similar attires.

Elites mostly. For Basics only suited figures some women. All Legends and Flashbacks. Modern day only the ones I like. Any of the above on Amazon under $20 I will buy. Only buy new figures in stores unless i cant find them after thoroughly hunting. Ebay, mercari, offerup, etc for older figures i missed out on.

Only wrestlers from the 80s and early 90s. And I try to buy MOC when I can.

I don’t understand having one of a person. How could you not want all the Macho Man colors or Undertakers different eras or show the progression of someone like Daniel Bryan. JBL and APA Bradshaw are pretty different. Papa Shango and Godfather. Can’t fathom. Then again I have entirely too many figures.... Part of my limitation is budget and space. Part of it is me asking myself, "Do I really need this?" As far as my wish list goes, I'm counting Mankind/Cactus Jack/Dude Love as 3 separate people, so all are fair game. But for Mankind, I chose his brown attire over the white dress shirt. Definitely different looks, but that's what I'm limiting myself to. -- Elites only. -- For the modern roster, try to limit to only one per character. If a better one comes out, I sell the old one. -- For Legends, I buy pretty much all elites, so I have a bunch of different attires there (but am starting slow down a bit on that). -- For the upcoming AEW line I'm going to be a total completist. Rules are definitely helpful, IMO. I do this with all sorts of lines (one of every character/completist/one era only, etc.). I tend to overbuy as it is so the more rules the better lol. Ahh, the AEW line. I'm going to get in trouble there, but it has been justified and supported by my wife. I've done a lot of photo work for AEW and some of my action shots are being used on the back of the packaging. I can't pass those up and must have them! I don’t understand having one of a person. Papa Shango and Godfather. Can’t fathom. Then again I have entirely too many figures.... Well, honestly, figures are expensive. I just noticed that Elites have gone up to 20 bucks here at walmart. If a person were to buy even ten elites, that's 200 dollars. Factor in multiple series per year and yeah, many people just don't have enough money to buy all the figures they might want, let alone all the figures for everyone. Some people are poor, my man. As for the difference between JBL/Bradshaw and Shango/Godfather - it depends on if you are the type of person to see those as different people or not. If I collected male figures, I'd probably go for both in each of those cases. Papa Shango is definitely not the same as Godfather, even if they are both the same wrestler. If I had the desire and money, I could easily see getting both. But that's just me. I agree. I would be more selective about the same version of one character (IE. JBL in wrestling gear compared to a suit) over different gimmicks. Well, honestly, figures are expensive. I just noticed that Elites have gone up to 20 bucks here at walmart. If I had the desire and money, I could easily see getting both. But that's just me. Patience helps a lot. I waited on a lot of figures from the last 2 years and now they’re all like $10-15. I’ve had to cut back but this hobby itself is a weird form of OCD so good on people being able to collect despite not having every CM Punk elite or every Kane attire, but then again I don’t have the same desire as a lot of people to have one of EVERYONE. There’s just some characters I couldn’t care less about even if they were champs or whatever. (Jinder, Greg Valentine, etc) I've been lucky wife a few figures I've picked up that were on my list, because they've been out for a little while. I picked up UE Bret & Nakamura for $40 total from a convention. I thought that was a steal because I could walk into my Target right now and Nakamura is on the shelf for $30. So I'm keeping my eyes peeled for different deals. Obviously some figures are going to cost me a lot more, but I figure it should somewhat balance out in the end.

I have no rules. Jakks and Mattel playing together like cats and dogs. Superstars from the 1980s mixing it up with superstars from the 2010s. WWE, WCW, ECW, TNA, ROH, NJPW, and AEW (the latter three thanks to customs) hanging out together at the APA's offices playing poker and drinking beer.
It's freakin' figure anarchy over here.
I lied. There is one rule: if I want it and can afford it, I buy it.

Elites only & of wrestlers I like. Not a MOC collector. (I only have 9 elite figures MOC) My elites are displayed in a simple pose. (I got to get a bookshelf) I try to get every elite figure I can from my favorite wrestlers. For those past elite figures that I missed out on, I have a cap price point per figure ($40) that I won’t go over as well. I’d like to say $50 per figure, but nah.

I follow simple rules and that is nostalgia factor ... Everything from attitude era , Ruthless aggression era and Golden Era I will get it. From Modern era I am not well attached but I buy only those who have alot of details and have shelf appeal.

My rule used to be any flashback or legend, basic or elite, with the cutoff year being 2001. Four detolf cabinets later and I’m running out of space. Now I stay away from basics unless it’s of a wrestler that I want to collect every figure of like Sting, Shawn Michales, and Ric Flair.

Not necessarily rules but I've kind of got back into collecting and I'm building up my Attitude era guys from 1998-2000 as those were my favorite years to watch and I plan on displaying them all, loose soon.
Other than that I'll get who I like, I finally found Peyton Royce today and I love that figure.

Personally I dont see it as being any different then buying only CM Punk figures or buying only Legends. Its a niche that you're into. Now that said, there's some people that buy them that I think go a little to the extreme. When you start sanding their gear off to make them naked, adding custom clothes and doing custom "real" hair....That kinda creeps me out a little bit. All in all I find guys buying little plastic toys of busty women less weird then guys buying little plastic toys of men in their underwear. I personally collect both.

My main ones are
- Every Luke Harper Elite, plus extras for fixups.
- I'll buy every 2006 & 2007 attire Elite.
- I try to get every Hardy Elite. Only exceptions are the E67 Chase Jeff, and the new Matt from Ultimate Deletion. Not interested in them unless they're $10 or less.
- Every CM Punk Elite Trying to finish it off, 4 to go.
- No Rybotch figures. Ever.
