Ric Flair & his junk. Here is a screengrab from the animated version WWE did of Flair's involvement in the plane ride story & put on their network a couple of years ago

As far as I am concerned, if a wrestling fan didn't know about Flair's antics in that era of wrestling, then you aren't a real wrestling fan. Case closed.
The majority of haters right now for Flair and Dreamer, are probably not even wrestling fans. They are fans of the TV show. It's like how a lot of wives watch Total Divas but don't watch Raw or Smackdown. Well a lot of people like watching Dark Side of the Ring but don't watch professional wrestling.
So all they know is what they are being told. Much like how the news media now plays us with all the political and COVID19 stories we here. We don't know what's really truthful, we are just hearing their side of it.
Sorry to those who think a majority of us are slime balls for sticking up for Flair. We are in fact NOT sticking up for Flair, but sticking up for the fact that this was a ordeal that happened 20 years ago, that a large community of the wrestling fan base knew of already.

Victim blaming is never ok. And while it was a different time back then with the whole “boys will be boys” mentally what Flair did should have cost him his job at the very least. But he needed to be arrested for his actions. But that was the time and it hasn’t gotten much better as the WWE was making light of it with their wwe story time cartoons about it. Hell, I love both Fair (and Hall) but if I was the flight attendant’s husband I would be in jail now because I would have killed him for doing that to my wife. I am sure if what Falir was accused of doing happened to Charlotte he would feel differently about his actions. This isn’t my story to tell so I am not going to say who it was, but someone close to me was assaulted a few years ago. But the people she confided in when it happened decided to keep it from me, because they know what I will do if I ever found out the name. I only found out that it happened because of the “me too” movement.

I have a feeling most people here haven't met or known someone who has been in similar situations or gone through something like that. You don't realise how damaging it is to someones mental state. It can ruin someones life.

The thing is, there are people who are in college now who were born after all of this even happened, and some fans simply just don't care enough about what goes on behind the scenes to go look up what happened 19 years ago. Even dirtsheets like PWTorch and The Observer didn't even mention that Flair made the flight attendant touch his junk when the flight took place. They just said craplike "Flair was being his usual charming self, strutting up and down the plane naked showing everyone his penis."

The Plane Ride from Hell episode was great. I loved how they tried to reach out to Brock Lesnar for a comment, and he didn't respond back.

I really wonder if dreamer getting suspended is going to make it more difficult to get other wrestlers to participate in the future.

I really wonder if dreamer getting suspended is going to make it more difficult to get other wrestlers to participate in the future. I honestly question if Dreamer even knew the stewardess would be apart of this episode when they interviewed him. For all we know he may have given his side of the story, been told about the stewardesses claims, and genuinely asked why she didn’t come forward sooner (and not as a callous and cold individual as so many are jumping to). Easy to take one persons side when we dont get the full story, especially with regards to a show known to pick and choose what parts of a story they want to tell.

Tommy's supposedly the nicest guy in the biz, and i feel like the context/editing here is to blame for how callous he appeared.
I mean we are talking about the same team that aired Jake Roberts lying his ass off about wanting to assault Warrior at the HOF.

Here's an idea, the wrestlers need to stop giving in to these two schmucks who are doing the Dark Side of the Ring documentaries.
Sure, you probably get paid a bit to say crapon camera, but if this team of documentary story tellers are so quick to edit and create trouble for wrestlers they had on their episodes, they would easily do it for you (the wrestler) too!

When he loses a gig because a company wasn’t aware of his actions in the past, that’s just called consequences.

When he loses a gig because a company wasn’t aware of his actions in the past, that’s just called consequences. Ask critics of authoritarian leaders around the world what their thoughts of "cancel culture" are. Well, those that aren't shut out of their journalism careers, imprisoned, forced to flee the country, or assassinated. To make clearer my stance, the way it is portrayed as an ever-powerful mob of influence that's poised to destroy anyone's careers, relationships, and livelihoods is a myth. Just as Joe McCarthy's "Red Scare" in the fifties was anybody could secretly be a Soviet agent, now it's any hard-working average Joe can be CaNCeLLeD for literally anything you have said. It is an over-sensationalized propaganda tool to drive outrage and panic, for the political and financial benefit of those who choose to utilize it, and primarily used to blow off pushback against racist, bigoted, misogynistic, or any other discriminatory behavior. The more attention you feed it, the more powerful you make it.

If the wrestlers would know how to act properly then they have nothing to worry about. Having a person like Tito, Nikolai, Molly Holly, Stemboat, Backlund, Eaton, Bundy, Tugboat, Earthquake on a show like this of course would lead to no repercussions for them based on what they say because they are/were great people and knew how to be kind to others and properly behave. I am ALL FOR this Dark Side series, I think the producers need some sort of prize, award or medal. They are bringing to light some stories that even the most hardcore of fans didn't know and if some wrestlers who assaults their opponents, sexual assaults or harasses women or speaks like a jerk loses a job then keep at it! I hope Flair does lose jobs and I hope in the Kanyon episode they show the evil, cold blooded, attempted murder-like assault Mark Calway did to Kanyon and I hope he suffers greatly for it, even if 20 years too late.

Yeah, but these wrestlers don't have to be on these episodes. They choose to be, because the two guys who do these shows are paying the wrestlers money to come on and pretty much rat out their friends.
I know personally if I was a pro wrestler, and the crew from Dark Side of the Ring contacted me to be on their show, I would say, "No way! You could take what I say and twist it around to make me look bad. You could easily bury me in an episode after I was on your show and helped get you viewers" which is what happened with Scott Hall.
He did the Montreal Screw Job episode, gave the crew some of his knowledge, and then BAM! The bury him on the Plane Ride from Hell episode because they could.
That's why I said what I said in my earlier post. The wrestlers need to just say "no" to these guys and protect themselves. It's called "Dark Side of the Ring" for a reason, it's not like anything good is going to come out of these episodes!
