I agree with christian, i loved his tna work but he should have never been a main eventer in wwe. I have never liked edge and think hes an intercontinental title holder at best. upper mid card but not 10x wwe champ Edge is one of if not my all-time favorite wrestler so I have a hard time understanding people who don't like him, this is the same for people who don't like Orton. My other favorites are near universally loved by us stupid marks. because ive watched him for 20+ years and think hes a tagteam wrestler and mid carder at best. hes not legitimate as a whc. He doenst "look" like a classic champion, dont work well, has subpar moves, and overall doesnt appeal to me. His spear is one of the worst spears of all time just like bigshows and christians.

I can see Del Rio although I cant remember how long he was actually in the title scene.
Another that comes to mind is Sheamus. It was mentioned recently in the RAW thread about him being a 4-5 time World Champion...The legit only thing I can remember is him kicking and pinning Bryan in 18 seconds...thats how bad his reigns are.
Surprised to see so many JBL answers. He was easily one of if not the best heels in the past 20 years.

HULK HOGAN
I grew up on NWA/GCW/WCW. Couldn't stand WWF and their cartoony kid stuff. Thought the yellow and red guy who looks like a glazed donut and "Hulks Up" was the dumbest thing on the planet. And when he went Hollywood it got even worse.

Delrio; but I think he started to find his nitch in 2013. And carried SmackDown decently in the Fall 0f 2013. Goldberg. Great Khali; just horrible giving him that title run in 2007; should of just gave it to Kane or like Umaga. Ultimate Warrior Ryback was total failure; all he had was a cool presentation Lex Luger

He lost his WHC rematch to Cena at SvS 2013, and that was kind of the end. So pretty much two full years on top. Four world title wins, Money in the Bank, a Royal Rumble, and not a single given by anyone.

To be fair, Guerrero's WWE Title reign felt like years to me for how much it sucked. I was so happy when JBL ended his reign.
Either you don't like Eddie or you don't like how he was booked as champ, which is it?
He was okay. I liked him with Chyna in 2000, I liked him with Chavo in 2002 and 2003, and when he won the WWE Title it was exciting. But I didn't care for his reign. He wasn't believable to me to be a long term champion. He was like a guy that should be chasing titles.

First I have said it many times on the classic boards I feel Edge was/is overrated and would have half his title reigns if the WWE didn’t split the brands. half his titles would have been held by whoever was the top champion on the other brand at the time.
But for me the worst champion is Ambrose. The guy did exactly what Austin warned him about and became complacent. I can’t think of a single match while he was champion where it didn’t look like he was phoning it in. His matches looked more like a walkthrough than a match as it looked like he was just running the match at half speed.

His Spear is awesome until the Spear itself. His mannerisms before he does it are cool as f*ck. But I've always been more of an Impaler DDT type of guy. I think that he's a great in-ring worker and even better on the mic. You say he doesn't look like a classic champion but I mean he ain't no vanilla midget.

Ambrose was great in The Shield and was an exciting character until he got released. His 2016 title run was elevated by being on SmackDown in 2016 (which IMO is the best modern PG wrestling product).

But his 2012 World Heavyweight Championship reign was great. Go watch that sh*t. No Way Out 2012 vs Dolph Ziggler, Hell In A Cell 2012 against Big Show (one of his best matches ever), and vs Daniel Bryan at Extreme Rules 2012 in a 2 out of 3 falls match.

I actually agree on Dean Ambrose, was thinking the same, even if it is touchy with a few people. I'm going to be honest, he was extremely bland as a Champion. He was complacent, smug, and had an attitude that thought he was a lot better than what he was. He was fine in the Shield, as he had a certain role within the group, but as a standalone face, with a pretty generic look, rather bland moveset, and a cocky attitude, I didn't draw to him like a lot of others did just because he's a bit of an Internet guy.

roman reigns dean ambrose Edge cena christian kevin owens babyface Reigns is a top contender for worst main eventer ever. Peak Super Cena was the bane of my existence. Kevin Owens in WWE works best as the upper mid-carder who occasionally gets pushed up for big matches because he delivers in-ring. Ambrose was always held down by Roman's push. Christian's 2011 top run was good as a Christian fan (at times) but his NWA-TNA run is the stuff of legend. But Edge? How was he a bad main eventer? He was probably the best heel for about half a decade and was always a highlight. I have to agree with the edge thing. When I think of edge, his best days were as the mysterious loner coming through the crowd or in triple threat tag matches where he only needed to shine in short bursts. His moveset is uninspired at best, his mic work makes me change the channel, and I've never had that "big fight feel" for an edge match. The rated r superstar crap has always felt forced and unnatural. And it's kind of a crap gimmick anyway. The best guys really make you believe the gimmick. Prime austin, rock, triple h, hbk...you could buy in. Edge just felt like a dude that didnt belong, playing a part he didnt understand. And his comeback has made it worse. From the "greatest wrestling match of all time" (lmfao) to this overly unnecessary rumble win, just awful. I honestly hope Roman retires him for good. And as PJ said, he was always the b champion. Always.
