Big fan of Tajiri. I love all of the ECW figures coming from ZST and Chella. I really hope we can get a Mikey Whipwreck from either of the companies. Especially if we can get an Unholy Alliance version. This is an awesome time to be a fan of Hasbro style retro figures!

On the last pod even the majors (maybe Ryder) mentioned something about a new singing then made a remark about needing something in hand…

Honest question: How do you want him to "focus" on his product being released? Do you want him to fly to Asia and oversee everything? Maybe even do some painting himself? We're in the spot where it's just a waiting game at this point for S1. In the meantime, he's posting pictures of hard resin copies for series 2 that are being prepped to be sent to Asia*. This line is moving forward at the fastest possible pace to be successful. You don't sit on your butt and just wait for Series 1 to be done before moving onto the next wave. Otherwise, you'll have people bitching about the production time for Series 2. You have to keep grinding especially when you have competition signing available talent. ~~~~~~~~~ *On a somewhat related side note, this is really promising as he didn't show the hard copies of S1 until after pre-orders, so hopefully the gap between S1 and S2 won't be too large. I'm hoping once S1 and S2 really get going and he's figures out the flow of the process, the waves will really start rolling out. Sure I would be happy if he took himself off to another place for a while lol. But your question, My point is signing all this talent is not that big of a deal unless product is being produced. So you mean to tell me if series one or two flops big time he is still going to make all those figures he has signed. Again looking at Chella’s output regardless of the process is proving more effective. He needs to makes sure series one and two are successful to ensure longevity of his line and having the means to produce figures of all his signings. Also to clarify I hope he does do well. I am not after anyone he has signed other than Todd Pettengill and it would be cool if that gets made I would pick that up.

He's already stated the sales of Series 1 exceeded expectations which is part of the reason he's moving forward with production of Series 2. So your view is based almost entirely on a hypothetical situation that most likely won't happen by all indicators at this point, barring any large disaster.

Dude I’m just offering a viewpoint and yea I could be 100% wrong ,I genuinely don’t know his business model sales etc. Also yea I am looking at it hypothetical also, I hope ZST is too because I would imagine there is a number of hurdles to overcome before and after having the figures in hand, cancelled orders, damaged product, returns, customer service issues that I hope he is preparing for. Everything a toy provider faces. I simply was highlighting that before he focuses on signing up all the talent possible, he needs to get his first series out and make sure it the best product possible, customers may or may not be receptive to his product, once they have it in hand and like it this will encourage others to continue buying his product.

Do you think the cards and bubbles of heels and faces will be of premium quality to keep MOC collectors happy? Brittle plastic and soft flakey card board could be a disaster!

Zombie possibly teasing the Faces and Heels ring…which might be close to the crowd funded Mattel ring. I’m excited!

Given that the Retro ring is available at a decent price, I don't see this doing well. But who knows I guess

Not only is the retro ring pricey - it’s also unavailable outside of ebay.
From what we see here and from what Zombie has said, this will be a higher quality product. It almost looks like a RSR/ESR type level of detail (but scaled down to fit the Heels and Faces figures one would assume).

These sat on a uk wrestling shop site too and uk eBay sellers for ages at next to nothing. So annoyed I didn’t make the plunge.

I have only gotten back into collecting in the last 9 months or so. My god when i think of the things i saw on the shelves and look at what they are going for now. The stuff of nightmares

If he charges $40 for a figure, he's easily going to charge $100 for a ring lol

If the ring does not feature a ZST logo and has a decent quality, I‘d buy 1 or 2 for my shelves. Why not add something different to the collection.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't see a Ring from him doing well. I hope I'm wrong, but what really is going to differ it from a Hasbro/Retro ring that buyers are gonna want to drop a hundred per say on it?
I hope if he does show pictures of it, it absolutely blows you away but really how do you make it any different aside from colour and logos?

Yeah, it's too early to do a ring. Or even one at all. We have a Hasbro and Mattel already. And it's pretty likely Mattel will re-release their ring again. I don't see the demand for a more accurate ring like Mattel did with their crowd-sourcing ring. That really doesn't fall in line with the spirit of the Retros.
