In the comments he's pretty much confirmed a Louie Spicolli and Masato Tanaka too. Really doing great work with these signings.

Mike Awesome is a great signing!
Has anyone else noticed, because it's starting to become a running joke in a group chat on Twitter I'm in, that Zombies announcements have all came recently on the days that Chella make announcements for their products? It's not a competition, but it's quite a funny coincidence.

Great signings.
I know both lines have gotten some slack for being so ECW heavy, but you really have to put things into perspective of why that is. ECW was the 3rd biggest company during arguably the most successful period of wrestling history. A lot of those guys own their names/gimmicks/IPs which makes them very appealing to sign with less red tape to sort through. Hopefully we don't get to the point where they're just signing anybody that had a cup of coffee in ECW though. Even Roadkill is pretty borderline to me.

Way too many signings without having a single fig in collectors hands imo

Way too many signings without having a single fig in collectors hands imo I agree, if the first few series tanks then what's he gonna do with all these contracts he's signed? I think Zombie needed to get the first set out and let collectors have them in hand before announcing like 5 sets worth of wrestlers. I hope it succeeds, because I think it's great what he's doing in terms of the names and the product we've seen so far. But that's it, all we've seen is very little. I think he needed to wait a bit.

If he charges $40 for a figure, he's easily going to charge $100 for a ring lol Easily you would think - with the moulding required etc I’d honestly be surprised if it’s anything below £200

I might’ve missed it but I haven’t seen any ecw slack tbh. I’ve seen people happy about it

It's a combination of 1) signing available guys who aren't signed to WWE/AEW, and 2) filling gaps of guys who have never been made (or haven't been made in a long time). I'm happy with any and all signing. I skip the stuff I don't want, knowing it'll appeal to other collectors and help keep the lines going.

To anyone second-guessing the market for a ring…I have to disagree.
If ZST makes one that is somewhat customizable, people will buy it. It may not do MASSIVE numbers but there is a market for people who want a slick looking ring or a more authentic looking ring as opposed to an oddly shaped hunk of blue or yellow plastic with torn up stickers and paint marks. This is coming from someone who owns every single ring Hasbro mass produced (black rounded posts, blue rounded posts, black square posts, blue square posts, KOTR, Royal Rumble, and both sound modules). I also own three of the Mattel Retro rings which were good but not great. Clearly there is something in me that is a mark for rings and following them as closely as I have tells me that there are others out there who will be interested in this (especially if he can get it to fit in displays).

Yeah hitting the ECW market does seem to make some sense with regard to being loads of guys who haven’t been made before. But personally it’s not really my thing; it was a little after the time period of guy’s I’d want in retro form. I’d take Bobby Eaton over those guys any day….hell I’d even take PN News!

I can't imagine he's doing anything besides paying them a small advance - otherwise he'd be crazy.
As someone said, he's signed so many guys that their release is years away (IF the line keeps doing well). He can't pay out their full amounts yet

It probably is like the Chella Toys where they get a percentage per figure sold

What do the contracts stipulate? I never saw one. What I was meaning was surely since they’ve signed up for this, there must be some sort of payment before the figures are made. Unless it’s strictly that the wrestlers get paid a percentage of the sales. But are people really gonna sign up to this use of their likeness without something up front? I’d imagine if that’s the case then Zombies having to pay out of his pocket before making any money at all.

He already said he was paying them more than any other figure contract and the pod guys mentioned they have already had some funds from it cos Bryan used it for a purchase so I guess that could come from the series 1 pre order that’s been done? I suppose if your roadkill are wwe really going to come and sign you to a legends deal? For people like him it’s prob this or nothing I guess?

In the case of Roadkill I'd say you're probably right.
