I actually think Gangrel is a bigger get than Terry Funk. I was so surprised (but happy) that Chella got him over Zombie, since Gangrel has done Major Pod shows. I wonder how Chella was able to swing it... Maybe it’s the fact that Chella has the 6/7” line coming as well? More figures equals for money I suppose 🤷🏻♂️

I’ve counted 27, that haven’t went up for sale yet. I don’t know deals of contracts, but I’m sure a contract with zombie is just a percentage of what is sold (when the item sells). I don’t believe he’s fronting money upfront signing these people, if anything at most it’s $500 signing bonus plus a percentage. It’s not as expensive as everyone is making out to be. Also I think starting at series 2 he is releasing 6 figures per set. In theory he could release 1 set a quarter, plus 1 2 pack and 1 sdcc exclusive. He could have 27 figures out within 1 year. I counted: Matt Cardona Brian Myers Earl Hebner Sabu Dino Bravo Danhausen Bruiser Brody Kevin Sullivan Nick Gage Swoggle Smart Mark Sterling Rock & Roll Express Nzo Barry Horowitz Ultimo Dragon Paul Roma Hercules One Man Gang Slick Jack Tunney Brooklyn Brawler Jeff Jarrett Brian Pillman King Kong Bundy Todd Pettengill Mr Hughes Rob Van Dam Raven Bill Alfonso Tajiri Mike Awesome Roadkill Correct, 33 total, 27 not gone up for sale yet. Thanks for the research! Also, there are bloody variants planned.

I just read this in an RVD interview. Did Zombie ever tell people that he will not be doing RVD?
"There was a third party conflict though. I gave a third-party permission to make an RVD action figure. They are called Heels and Faces, their work is really good. I didn’t know WWE was doing anything with me, but at the virtual San Diego Comic Con, Heels and Faces made their announcement about my figure. But also Mattel was making an announcement on the same day about an RVD figure, and I had no idea. WWE got a hold of me shortly after and made me cancel the first one. It’s understandable, but I just don’t know. People ask me if I’m going to be in the videogame, I don’t know, I have very little to do with it. They are just using my likeness."

He has made no mention of this. I was always wondering how he could have a ZST figure and mattel WWE figure at the same time.

He's never said it was cancelled, that was last week so you'd think he'd have put it out there by now. Once the RVD Elites were shown I actually thought that it was very strange on WWE's part to allow him to have other merchandise put out when he was under contract with them. Strange one.

That’s a really poor attitude and unwelcome here.
If ZST signed RVD first, it would make sense that he could still produce the figure. It would be similar to when that one company we can’t discuss was releasing figures of guys like Kevin Owens while they were in WWE.
Edit: I wasn’t replying to Scott. Someone posted a very negative comment that was deleted. Thank you to whoever did that!

Based on his comment posted above, it likely supersedes any other third party agreements.

Also given his comments that he wouldn’t want to mess around with stuff like the ‘Adam Bomb’ license if WWE have told RVD the other figure needs to be cancelled looks like it won’t come out I wonder how many of the others he has signed could be affected in the future since some of these won’t go into production for a while If only someone said it might be better to get figures out than spend so much time just signing people… Be interesting if the pod report on it since they have any pics of new signings in their thumb nails seems like this if it’s right could be a big thing that needs to be covered and a big talking point

Did you all see this? What was ZST originally promising on timelines?

Did you all see this? What was ZST originally promising on timelines? I believe he said Dec to Feb I believe so left it quite open and vague He said they leave the factory in jan and shipping from China to US via ocean freight is usually 30 - 40 days (hence why RSC get stuff in earlier than retail as they get them via air). So he should have them ready to send out by Feb all bring good. However any slight problems could throw that off. Also we know there’s a la k of storage containers and problems worldwide with freight which may affect it.

Did you all see this? What was ZST originally promising on timelines? Read the language closely. The PTB will push a narrative that “February” was just an expected estimate and we should be grateful if we even get them in 2022 at all due to the “global pandemic”. People have high expectations for the line, but we need them in hand before we decide to further preorder future lines. There is a lot riding on Series 1! Zombie says no shortcuts were taken.

“Production samples should be in hand December”
What happens if there’s issues with those? Problems with the tooling etc? One problem could set this back
Also the pandemic is irrelevant when chella, junk shop etc have got products out there

I won’t pretend to be a legal expert but it would come as a surprise to me if someone could sign a contract after already signing one with someone else and have the second one supersede it. It’s possible that the wording on ZST’s didn’t allow for this or ZST didn’t want to fight them legally. I REALLY hope that Mattel makes an RVD retro now! Also, maybe there will be a silver lining to this: Smart Mark Sterling can take his place in the series!

Did you all see this? What was ZST originally promising on timelines? One bone I have to pick with Zombie is that he has stated (in an abrasive manner at times) that the release date has always said to be around February. That seems perfectly reasonable to me but I was not aware of this until around August or September. Is it possible that he said it many times and I missed it? Absolutely. However, I follow a fair amount of his stuff so if people like me missed it, maybe there is something you can do to improve your communication. That isn’t a shot- just some constructive criticism. I too am concerned that there will be production issues. It’s a no-win situation unfortunately. Either you have to apologize and make people wait or you push through and release a lower standard product (like Super7).

Having not committed to the pre-order on these, I understand a lot of the concerns with shipping dates on these. There's not a lot of communication from Zombie in my opinion, and every time there is it's just being pushed back and back. I get what he has said about them wanting the absolute best final product and I 100% respect that, but having not dropped the money for them I don't have that same investment in them other than thinking of picking up a few later on when more and more sets start getting released. It must be incredibly frustrating. I know a lot of collectors get so mad at Super 7 and the amount of time they're sitting on the money until they ship months later, so I get the unease here. It's a long time for them to sit on a few hundred dollars for the set.
I think Zombie is more active when he's announcing new signings, rather than keeping people up to date on the set that has actually been paid for by many without ever seeing a final product. I'm sure once Series 1 does get released and collectors have them in hand, the next waves will be quicker. It's that first order for him that he'll still be figuring things out, no pun intended, on how to deal with the company producing them. So I think he deserves to be cut a little slack here and given a bit more patience.
As I said, I've not placed an order so I'm saying this from the outside. If Zombie was sitting on the money I paid, I can imagine I'd be a little impatient.

Series 1 NJPW figures were missing hands and deco. Series 2 is missing deco and accessories.

I remember this also. Stuff happens -- but that's why he should have been nice and friendly. Now no one is rooting for him
