I just read this in an RVD interview. Did Zombie ever tell people that he will not be doing RVD? "There was a third party conflict though. I gave a third-party permission to make an RVD action figure. They are called Heels and Faces, their work is really good. I didn’t know WWE was doing anything with me, but at the virtual San Diego Comic Con, Heels and Faces made their announcement about my figure. But also Mattel was making an announcement on the same day about an RVD figure, and I had no idea. WWE got a hold of me shortly after and made me cancel the first one. It’s understandable, but I just don’t know. People ask me if I’m going to be in the videogame, I don’t know, I have very little to do with it. They are just using my likeness." He has made no mention of this. I was always wondering how he could have a ZST figure and mattel WWE figure at the same time. Is it possible that RVD's deal with WWE isnt exclusive? Or maybe its just because the zombie thing is a low production run...not something that retail stores are going to carry anyway. Mattel just released some Sgt. Slaughter figures recently but he also has a figure coming out this month for Valaverse's Action Force.

I definitely remember him claiming Series 1 would be in stock before Christmas 2021 originally. I remember this also. Stuff happens -- but that's why he should have been nice and friendly. Now no one is rooting for him
Once the figures come out it'll be fine, hopefully things will move quicker going forward. But in my opinion you're not all wrong, his attitude at times is a bit off putting.

I hope heels and faces starts rolling quicker when series 1 ships. I’m kind of excited for these but I’m also not going to be waiting for 8 months per figure. Hopefully they can get a constant flow or a steady release of some every other month or so.

I'm sorry to be negative (and honest), but this Bruiser Brody looks nothing like ANY Hasbro figure ever released...

It does look great and it is close to a Hasbro in my eyes. The only thing that makes me mad are those ape long arms. This seems to become an issue with the whole line. I really hope this will be fixed as it would be a deal breaker for me for an otherwise fantastic looking line. But I just cannot unsee this issue.

Every time I see the product as it releases I'm so glad I didn't sink any money into this line. Very poor execution IMO.
Literally just worth following along for the Rudat sketches.

To say this doesn't look like a Hasbro doesn't make one bit of sense. Brody's body looks exactly like Greg Valentine's Hasbro except he's a little taller and leaner because Brody was taller and leaner than Hammer.

The only thing that makes me mad are those ape long arms. Those arms are pretty accurate to Hasbro imo. Looking at my shelf, lots of guys with arms down near their knees. Proportions are a bit goofy throughout the Hasbro line, part of the charm.

I'm sorry, but I'm never sold until I see a painted prototype. This looks more like a statue than an action figure right now in this phase, it's hard to get a clear image for me. Maybe that's just me though. I think the head and beard looks well done, but that's it right now.

Especially the boots/feet always look too Simpsons‘esque. I had hopes they’d fix it as Hayabusa was perfect but Nakano and Switchblade have the issue aswell.

There's this stupid Chella vs Zombie thing going on where all the pro Chella people here (who coincidentally are all UKers) crap all over Zombie while praising Chella in the other thread despite glaring issues with each release thus far. It's laughable at this point because all of their arguments are in complete bad faith. You can't call a figure line "great" and then list out an issue with each figure, which I've literally seen someone do in that thread. "Great" figures are near perfect and have little, to no issues. But the tribalism has set in for the super-pro Chella side and they can't see without their rose-tinted glasses at this point. Their loss. More Retros for everyone else.

Tbf there is a major pod video from a few days ago ot so where zombie takes shots at chella saying how his are proper figures and not print to order etc Also in interviews he’s taken shots at them - not the best way to make friends

You can still enjoy Chella's figures and that can still be an accurate statement. A bunch of people on here trying to take the "moral high ground" or something when all of us has/have supported WWE in our lives is pretty ironic. Guy saying mean and somewhat accurate things vs. a company that routinely embarrass their employees and actions have lead to sexual assaults and even death. But the toy guy said some mean things so we have to pretend like the figures he's putting out are complete crap. Gimme a break.

guster I'm not gonna for one second sit here and say Chella are perfect and that the figures are flawless, because they're not. I'm in the UK as you pointed out, but I haven't shat on Zombies product at all, far from it. I think the guy is doing his best, and I've said before that he needs patience from collectors for the line to come out. I hope once it does, we'll be blown away by the figures and that the next series is right around the corner. People are getting shirty with the wait, which is understandable if you've paid sure, but the guy needs time. With the argument ZST against Chella, there's no argument. Both companies are and are going to produce some fantastic figures, and some not so. To compare isn't fair on either product. I think us UK'ers are just so pleased we've for once got something local that's doing well. We get stung with Mattels same as a lot of countries compared to the US and we did the same with Jakks so it's nothing new. It's just good to have a company to get behind, it's not a favouritism against Zombie in that respect. I hope both lines succeed and continue to do so, because it's us collectors that benefit.

To say this doesn't look like a Hasbro doesn't make one bit of sense. Brody's body looks exactly like Greg Valentine's Hasbro except he's a little taller and leaner because Brody was taller and leaner than Hammer. The head is absolutely enormous. I can't think of many hasbros where the heads are literally bigger than the torso. You can probably fit Greg's head into his torso 3 times. They've ignored the hasbro design aesthetic (like pins in the arms), they have gorilla arms, no actions and no hasbro sheen. They've gone for their own thing here, which is fine for people who like how they look. But these are even further from capturing hasbro's feel than Mattel's Retro line IMO.
