Just got an email update on Mattel Creations and in the update they list some upcoming items from lines and WWE is listed so we shall see.

It said they have offerings on the way from Barbie, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, WWE, and Masters of the Universe.

If the other items they've released are any indication, it'll be an easy pass for me.
It's really disappointing to see the direction Mattel has gone compared to HasLab. Everything I've seen from Mattel Creations has been absurdly priced crap.

That clear Skeletor they released was absolutely not crap. One of my favorite MOTU figures. Granted it's the only thing I've bought from creations but it's awesome.

Wasn't this what Matty Collector's was? How will this be different? Matty collector had items in stock. Pre orders for items will be sold out in seconds here and never be in stock or reordered. |

Unreal, what else could you want them to do? Focus on collectors and produce actual desirable product? |

Even for the cooler items, the price points just seem unjustifiably high to me. I love kitsch and novelty items and will gladly pay a premium. Glow in the dark anything? Sign me up. But from what they've released so far, it seems like they're charging 150, 200% markups for what amounts to swapping the plastic color they're using. It just seems like a straight up cash grab. |
