As someone who wasn’t around for the MattyCollector days, what were the mistakes and issues with that? We all pretended we were going to buy the figures, then we just bitched about shipping and prices instead and the line flopped. Hah! Now I'm having flashbacks of checking in all the time and seeing that DCUC thermometer slowly tick up, and waiting weeks to find out if the line was actually going to continue. |

Just curious if they are gonna do anything about bots snatching everything up like the Mr. T figure ? Or are they just gonna play dumb and say sorry ?
I can almost bet money if its anything highly sought after knowing Mattel it will be the ladder.

Personally, I loved Matty Collector... I purchased every one of the exclusives from them, no hassle - and the shipping seemed very reasonable as I recall. 🤷♂️

Personally, I loved Matty Collector... I purchased every one of the exclusives from them, no hassle - and the shipping seemed very reasonable as I recall. 🤷♂️ Indeed, I bought from them one time, and to the UK, all in, it was all in very reasonable. I remember getting the Rockers from them and it was all good too (UK). I never really cared about the other names they had so didn't get them, not an issue with the service or shipping. |

They don’t care about the longterm health of the store and driving future customers away. |

Just to put in perspective just watched one of Scott’s videos and he said the tooling for MOTU classic grayskull was half a mil for molding alone.
I wouldn’t get hopes up about an entrance or Titan tron or similar

The Rockers 2pack cost me £30 all in. Think of how much it goes for now. I have seen £150 plus. Mad init it.

Okie but have you considered that MattyCollector sucked ass? Like yeah, we didn’t really buy enough to keep it going but the service was very poor and didn’t make much of an effort to get us to buy in. They didn’t even have a season pass type deal for WWE. MOTU let you buy everything in advance but not WWE. It makes it seem like they themselves had no faith or interest in it either. That shipping is the main reason I stopped buying after DDP. To me the hassle wasn’t worth it for Bundy, Arn, & Tully, guys who I cared very little for at the time (and tbh I only care about the Busters more now because of AEW). I would’ve bought Liz but they cancelled it before she was made and it worked out because I got her much cheaper at retail |

I don't think it's very useful to cite MattyCollector as a point of comparison here. It hasn't been in operation for over half a decade and the brand manager with the most investment in it isn't there anymore. The main lines it supported aren't being produced anymore! Since then, Hasbro Pulse has provided a template for online, direct-to-collector sales and I would expect we'll see a lot of Pulse's strategy here if they're interested in expanding Creations beyond the ultra niche, art-toy segment. So I would expect preorder periods (which Creations has done already) more than product drops and I'd expect incentives to sign up for a subscription.
The bigger question is what kind of exclusives they're going to offer. Creations has very specific branding but already they've offered plenty of products that don't quite fit that.
