My only concern is funding.
They should have gone all in and went with a Raw Is War ring with Ultimate 98 Undertaker and Attitude Era Vince (in a suit) for an add-on. That would 100% meet its goals and stretch goals. LOL they may do it next year if this one is successful (cue laughter and tears for a longer 98 Undertaker wait).

This is definitely a dreamlike set for me. The mid to late 90s are my sweet spot so having the entrance and ring are awesome for me. I’d maybe preferred an early 95 HBK but I dig the Diesel figure. This is a definite buy for me, particularly because I’ve wanted Mattel to do these funded projects for WWE figs for a long time

Why they decided to do this knowing they can't use the old logo is mind boggling. They could have picked an era where they can use the right logo.
That said, I wouldn't take this thing for free. If it misses production by ONE ... you can blame me. I'm a big boy. I can take the heat, lol.

Would include TitanTron, Ramp, Suited Vince, and either Taker/Austin.

I'm only really interested in the Diesel figure... I hope it will be individually boxed/carded (like Hasbro do with their Star Wars pack-ins). Having said that though, if we get an UE Kevin Nash (as rumoured), I might just stick with that.

For anyone saying attitude era taker. Isn’t he rumored for UE 11 with Kane? Do obviously wouldn’t make sense plus if it doesn’t get backed then who knows when we would get that taker. I really hope it goes crazy with backers and hits all tiers. So all you cheap wrestling fans living in your parents basement ask for a advance on your allowance and back it! (I’m just kidding btw the way but not about backing it lol). It’s been asked for years for a crowd funded project now is the time. If this does great we’ll get another crowd funded item I’m sure.

Ive scatter posted about this during work today but my thoughts... 1)Is this the same scale/size as the previous released ASR. If not then additions of ring skirts are desperately needed. I would rather have skirts of the Big 5 PPVs over a Doink & even Diesel elite. 2)Assuming the crowd fund runs for 30-45 days, How long are we legit looking at getting this made. Say it ends around September. Should we expect this by Christmas or is it more likely Spring '22 at the earliest? 3)I had the inclusion of "Entertainment" on the ring skirt. I get you cant use the old WWF logos and I'm OK with that but just leave it with the blocked W logos and don't have the wording on that. I agree, the ring skirts for the 5 big PPV's of that era would be nice. And, they really could have left the WW logo but added Federation to the ring skirt wording, from what I understand they can still use World Wrestling Federation in words just not the old logo's. |

If they did Attitude Era they would have to do a titantron and stage and that’s gonna make the price around $400-$500. By doing New Gen you can do the light up entranceway much cheaper and possibly include the RAW letters as a stretch goal.

Hasbro has one currently and it’s 45 days long. I asked someone who works at Mattel. He said it will run from July 23 to August 22. Aw, that sucks! I don’t finish school until the last day of July and I’m still looking for a job! I’m going to miss out on this completely. |

While doing ultimate is most likely - is there a possibility it could be an accessory pack? We only saw the hammer, and there’s a few doinks out - 2 I can think of (one heel from a bit ago and the face one in the set with heartbreak hotel stage) - could it be accessories + belt pack to go with figures we already have? The huge new Gen era run taker had, doinks hammer, a kotr crown and gown etc? My ideal ultimate doink would be the green and blue gear from his debut look. He would have the hammer and a soft goods coat and a few looks with a sinister look that captures his top heel days. No goofy smile or could be a face doink figure. Could also have the fake arm and sling. |
