say if they they need 5000 backers for it to be funded. IF they hit X amount more they add more product, even though you still only pay 250. There are increment tiers, not known what they are at the moment or how many backers needed for each tier. So I pay $250, getting me the ring, stage and Diesel. That’s if it hits 5k. If it hits say 6k (the next tier), I’ll get UE Doink (just an example thrown in) included in that $250? And so on for 7k, 8k, etc? exactly |

I am very curious about the details and am on the fence about it. But time to analyze the cost.
Taking apart the 250 cost. Assuming Shipping is NOT included, but if so, then that makes a difference too.
150 for the ring. With the added decor, cloth turnbuckles, SDCC exclusivity, and inflation since the last full sized rings were released, this seems reasonable
35 for the Diesel figure (same as the Sgt Slaughter SDCC exclusive). Again, an Ultimate for a SDCC exclusive, this seems reasonable.
This makes the Entrance Stage itself $65. It lights up. It has a cloth curtain. It is nice.
I will keep an eye on it, see how long the buy-in period lasts, and will most likely jump in if it gets to the first stretch goal, assuming it is in fact Doink.

250 for a ring tho??? gtfo The most accurate ring ever made (at least 100 dollar value even without all the accuracies), an Ultimate figure (30 dollar value), and a legit light up entrance set (probably a 40 dollar value), with the possibility of higher tiers and more pieces to be included, not to mention it’s not a mass retail piece. Cost will be higher. This is crowd funded, not retail ready. I get the price, but probably won’t be participating unless the higher tiers are met and deliver some sick pieces. Yeah, in terms of mental math, I'd value the ring around $100, Diesel around $25, and for me the entrance stage is around $100-120. Add in a Doink or some other tier perks, and the value is there for me. That said, I've wanted the New Gen entrance stage since I was a kid. I'm sure I'm not the only one. So even if the pure "value" isn't there, I'm likely buying. At the end of the day this is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a childhood daydream happen 25 years later. It's worth the relatively small cost. I just hope they don't try to re-sell us the same ring over and over with premium figures or stages. But we'll cross that bridge if we get there. |

I'll add that I'm definitely buying this. New Generation is my jam, I love that Diesel, and an ultimate heel Doink (with the jacket! We need the jacket!) is something I've been wanting from Mattel since the first Doink came out.
I do have my concerns that it will hit the number though. I'll be doing my part and hope others do too!
