i seriously doubt this will actually hit 5k but i hope it does You don’t think there’s 5k collectors that might want this out of thousands? Most attempts at premium items have flopped because wrestling fans are poor and/or cheap. Realistically, lots of us SAY we want big fancy items, but don’t commit to that when it comes time to vote with our wallets. I’m not confident it’ll hit the 5k either. Look at this thread - there are an encouragingly decent number of people who aren’t REEEEEEing about the price, but even within the people who understand the price tag, there are people who are on the fence, people waiting to pull the trigger only after it hits stretch goals, people who want a different era etc. Personally, I’m not sure. I stopped collecting wrestling figures four years ago (besides retros) and I sold a lot of my collection, but I’m considering buying this because it looks so awesome and to support a big-ticket item in the line. I do have a lot of nostalgia for that stage. I don’t remember who I sold and who I kept though, and if I had this I’d want to build full roster for the time period. And I’m sure replacing some of the early nineties characters I got rid of (like red LOD) would be expensive as hell. I’d also consider getting it and using the stage for retros/Hasbros (if the scale doesn’t make it look too ridiculous), and selling the ring and Diesel.

I really don't think I need another doink, but since it will be ultimate I guess.....I couldn't sell the doink from the baf series so I eventually just gave it to my son.

As I said a few pages ago people talk a big game but do they follow through? Remember a few years back at comic con there was a huge entrance stage / Titan tron and loads of people asked if it would be made available and suggested crowdfunding for it. That would’ve been $1,000+ yet people are complaining at $250 I think a lot like the idea of a big display piece but not the cost that goes with it

While doing ultimate is most likely - is there a possibility it could be an accessory pack? We only saw the hammer, and there’s a few doinks out - 2 I can think of (one heel from a bit ago and the face one in the set with heartbreak hotel stage) - could it be accessories + belt pack to go with figures we already have?
The huge new Gen era run taker had, doinks hammer, a kotr crown and gown etc?

As per Steve's Instagram: "All this is just tier 1 which will be delivered with 5 thousand backers for just $250. We have even more tiers to announce during Friday’s Elite Squad panel that will unlock additional bonus items that’ll really excite you." $250? You’re kidding me? What kind of joke is this? I honestly don't think it's that out of line. At retail that ring by itself would likely go for $100, an entrance stage with lights and etc. at that scale would be around $70, and an Ultimate Edition is $30. That's $200 there, plus it's an exclusive piece which usually has a premium, and we haven't seen any of the tiers yet (one of which is almost assuredly going to be unlocked at 5,000 orders.

I've never joined a crowd funder and have a question. Say I back the project do I choose how much money to donate and does that amount then get deducted from the total cost on the final price?

Matty Collector had next to no backing and most of the legends figures sold poorly. There are a majority of collectors who post on here say they will wait for figures to go on clearance. I do think it'll hit a high number, but It'll scrape by because most fans are fickle, all talk and cheap.

I hope this can hit the numbers to get produced. I'm 100% backing this one. Anything past what we've been shown is just gonna be a bonus. I'll probably sell the diesel, and I'm sure this is gonna cost me like $350 CAD when it's all done, but I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. Happy to pony up the cash on this project.

I think starting with a New Gen item is a very weird choice tbh. You would think they would want the first item to be an Attitude Era stage since their would be more appeal and it would be much more simplistic to do a 98 Raw stage than the neon one
But they’ve probably had a whole team of people researching and looking into the viability and stuff so I hope it meets all the tiers

I think 5,000 initial backers seems kind of high, honestly. This is depending on 5,000 people spending a good chunk of money on one toy set.
I really hope it hits. I'll pledge the $$ first day.

And the cost for that would be way more - people are sticklers for scale. The Titan tron would need to be huge

But as a launch piece, I think it makes sense. It's very toyetic with the bright neon colors and should have pretty decent collector appeal to age demographics that will have the money to drop $250 on a ring and stage. The stage is also a small enough piece where it can be packaged with a ring for a premium. If you do the AE (or even Nitro) stage, it's a much bigger piece that probably has to be sold on its own. You're probably looking at $3-400 just for the stage on those. There's also some market for a vintage ring. There are plenty of people that have the WCT ring and will re-buy for one that is a little more in scale. We'll see how it sells. But it seems like a solid read on the market and it's a chance to get some eyeballs on a showcase piece right around SDCC to maybe pull in some non-collectors.

Think of it as a pre-order, but you only get charged if they sell 5,000+ units. The price is a flat $250+shipping. If they sell fewer than 5,000, it doesn't get made it all and you won't be charged. If they sell more and hit certain levels, they'll add extra goodies but you still only pay $250.
