When you zoom in on it I think the main Undertaker face actually looks good.

I don't think the Taker looks as bad as some people are saying but the Kane is amazing.

Absolutely love that Kane, will be a must have. Not totally sold on Taker but I enjoy the Ultimate line so will pick up as well

On Taker, I think people are being too critical than is deserved especially on the unique headacan. Yes the gloves should have been smoother, I wonder if it will look better with the wrist those little wrist parts removed, I’m going to give that a go because it may make it look a bit closer in terms of length. If there’s any disappointment about the hands, it should more be the fact he only has one open hand and not two to do the hands raising motion. I personally really dig the scan with the hair down, I don’t see the Jackson reference at all. The problem is with the other two heads that are too modern and generic, I won’t use either of them and plus I intend to have the coat on him. They could have done better with those other two scans as he looks too old with too high of a hairline and needs more colour in his facial hair. I really think they should’ve gone with the fluffier hair look or another with hair hanging down his face as those were how I remember him. The slicked back hair looks are modern taker. The torso is a little skinny at the mid section but I think the skin colour near his abdomen is contributing. If you made the top less bulky then his arms would look gigantic. Overall I’m happy with it, just would’ve seen more potential in the other heads.

Kane on the other hand, bias aside is one of the best figures ever. Man I cannot wait to own it. It’s like a wishlist of every Kane figures demands. New masked scans (and two good ones!!), shiny lace less boots, all moulded gauntlets and belts, finally some jacked arms and then that rare cape and accessories to cap it off. Will look so great with the open hands. The slicked back hair look is different but oh so good and the strap detail looks awesome. From early Kane I always remember those straps and the neck section because the very mystery of him back then was any glimpse of his face area. This really sets the standard for all Kane figures and perhaps one that cannot be beat. It has me drooling at the idea of a proper 2001 Kane with molded details. I really really really hope they do it because it would be a thing of beauty if done to this standard. One can only hope.

I've had a quick go in photoshop. I reckon they needed full eyebrows, heavier facial hair and upon looking at it more they went too heavy with the eye makeup. He even had more dark red to his hair then.

How could Mattel absolutely nail Kane but absolutely butcher a much-wanted Taker at the same time?

The real face scan stuff is doing the same thing wrong that the video games get wrong. It’s easier to scan their face in real life so everybody that’s still alive has an old face and they try to decorate it younger. 2k does the same thing

Fair play to having a go…you’re right about the hair colour too but of all the things, I could live with that. It’s the droopy old man face with lines/creases and you’re right, he didn’t go that heavy with make up until like two years ago. Just a CRAZY choice for a premium figure of one of the all time greats that fans have wanted forever…I’m so pissed about it.

Having watched the video, Steve and Bill said they’ve nailed it so my hopes of this being changed have diminished.

Nobody can tell me Mattel genuinely looked at that head and said ‘yep we’ve nailed it!’ - they’re trying to polish a turd here.

Final nail in the coffin for me will be if you can only have that MJ head on with the entrance coat which it sounded like what Bill said in the video. You can’t have that thing on show and pretend it’s great.
