Actually, that’s true. I did notice that when I was checking out. Kind of strange for an event exclusive. I’d think you would want to put the order up so people can get it at or around the time of the event. I just bought the MezcoCon exclusive Joker about an hour ago. I already have a shipping notice saying it should be delivered tomorrow AFA mentioned in the Q&A thread that Slaughter is expected to ship in the next few weeks. Really? We’ll see. They also said Legends 11/12 would be up this past weekend. |

NECA re-released their SDCC exclusive movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures to Gamestop and/or Target (I think) with different packaging and a few missing accessories.
I bought the SDCC exclusive. It came in a mock VHS movie slip cover meant to look like the movie sitting on your shelf with all four turtles, and it included a full fake Dominos pizza box with grease stains and some pizza! When re-released to retail, it was missing the full box pizza (later re-released in an accessory pack) and of course the awesome mock-VHS packaging was changed for a standard packaging for each turtle.
THAT'S how it should be done here: different packaging, one or two different accessories (maybe cut the cloth jacket), but same figure.

I really only wanted it in the package. If we’re doing another Ultimate Slaughter I’d rather have the Iraqi version with the pink Winged Eagle belt, sheik boots and Middle Eastern head cover.

Steve has been good about watching how he words information. If he isn’t 100% sure, he’ll let you know. Everyone else at Mattel just gives information, then provides excuses when it doesn’t work out that way. Steve does a good job of warning you beforehand that “hey, this is the plan, this is what we’re expecting, however, there may be some hiccups.” |

I want this too. The army helmet could be included too. The facial expressions they could do with an ultimate would really sell it too. The eyes bulging out of his head. The chin jutted out when he would raise it up and make it look even bigger than it was. A screaming face.   |

I firmly believe that every SDCC should get a standard rerelease with just different packaging. Same figure, same accessories, but just different packaging. Defeats the purpose of it being exclusive. The figure is the exclusive part not (just) the packaging. |
