I firmly believe that every SDCC should get a standard rerelease with just different packaging. Same figure, same accessories, but just different packaging.

Revised deco, perhaps in his camo gear from 1992. Basically an upgrade of the HOF figure.

While I’d be down with a Sarge in Ultimate form down the line I really don’t see it happening. Especially not a rerelease of this figure.

Just a regular packed reissue, but honestly I feel the E89 satisfies my need for another Slaughter especially if we get double elbows.
Still wouldn't mind seeing a redo of this one

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think it should be rereleased. It was an exclusive and should be kept that way.
P.S. I didn’t get one.

I would like them to release Ultimate Sgt Slaughter in a way that allows customers to buy them. but since that is not a option I went with Standard release in same deco and accessories.

Personally, the only thing that made me go from on the fence to wanting it was the awesome packaging. I personally wouldn’t buy it as a standard re-release, but I know many others would.

packaging meant nothing for me. it was ALWAYS the figure and accessories. i 10/10 want another swing at the UE Sarge and would gladly let him occupy a spot in the main line.

Seems like the most obvious answer is to re-deco the figure and slap him in a standard UE set. Doesn't take anything away from the exclusive, but still gives everyone else a crack at having some manner of UE Sarge if they need it.

As much as I wanted the exclusive I missed it and it shouldn’t be a straight rerelease because it was the Con exclusive. But I would love a regular packaging with him in the black singlet/tights attire. But with the same accessories as the exclusive.

This all comes down to whether you ended up getting one or not really…but as I’m someone who was a little too young for LJN (I was a Hasbro kid) it didn’t really hit the mark for me, although I still appreciated how cool it is.
In general, I think it would really suck for Mattel to re-release this. I get that people are passionate (I am too about whichever figures float my boat) but I think as collectors we have to suck it up when we don’t get what we want in terms of exclusives (regular lines then I think there’s more room for argument). Yes this sale was CRAZY quick but it is what it is.
If Mattel just re-release limited/exclusive figures because people cry about it, it defeats the object and kills future exclusive releases. Part of this hobby is having those figures that are exclusive, hard to get. It’s amazing to have a figure that not many others have, it’s also great to chase those figures if you didn’t manage to get one. Track one down one day, some how, or as much as I hate scalping, if it means THAT much to you that you would cry about it, you’ll spend the extra to get it on EBay or whatever. Yes it might suck a bit to pay double or more but again, if it means that much to you and you end up getting a figure that not many people have, you’ll think it’s worth it.
By all means, maybe Mattel can learn from this and make changes for next year but I really hope they don’t give in and re-release this. It would be damaging to the game IMO. It’s important to have the odd figure that is rare.

After I get filthy traitor Slaughter, the only Sarge I’m interested in is Commissioner Slaughter. That Target HOF slaughter with the camo shirt was the best wrestling version of Slaughter they could’ve possibly made.
