Got my UE Kane today. The right arm is worse in person IMO. Unless you plan to just have him standing there in a static pose, the flesh colored elbow will stick out no matter how well you try to hide it. Normally I’d hope a company would rectify this and issue replacement parts, but I doubt this knowing Mattel (they had the DC line for over 15 years and only started using updated sculpts during their final year with the line).
Otherwise a great figure, though the R3 may still be my favorite.

Ok I have a request, for those of you who have UE Kane and taker as Kane RSC can you please put the UE Kane heads on the RSC Kane to see how they look on it please? Here is the problems I have with this UE kane, big problem for me is 2 things, mask not being fully painted and Kane’s left side from what I seen on the ribs are not painted flesh tone, e12 got it right but UE can’t? Other things that ain’t that big of a deal is no gloss boots, elbow unpainted and I’m not a fan of the belt moving around, nothing a little paint and glue can’t fix but still it’s a inconvenience that I don’t want to do, but seriously if these things were done it would be a PERFECT figure, as is it’s probably my favorite Mattel figure, can’t wait to get it in hand, and one other thing, I was hoping the very top of the neck would have a little flesh showing but maybe that’s asking for too much, I’m really excited about this figure Tried it today. Both heads sit a tad high and look small on the RSC Taker as Kane figure. The head with the hair down can be fudged but the head with the hair back looks off. Would it be too much trouble to get some pics?

That was always my favourite attire, I can just imagine how incredible that would look. Could come with the wwf and wcw tag titles or come with the ic, arm cast and chain, otherwise something with the hardcore title but the hardcore has been done before. They can do different masks for the different heads as well which would be cool. Survivor Series 2000, King of the Ring 2001, the mask he debuted sometime in Summer 2001 that X-Pac stole in '02 etc. The more I think of it, the more it always could've made sense for them to choose that era for an UE. Absolutely but they would be strategic and know that’s an option they have…I’m scared to say…up their sleeve lol. There are a lot of possibilities and that era of taker could have so many soft goods, those sleeveless t shirt throws, beanies, etc. to make it worthwhile. I thought that would be a natural pairing for both of them in the same UE line as their BOD tag team looks, but it makes sense they start with these late 90s attires as this was their wm14 look. The rsc exclusive is still the only elite version of that flame attire and it’s been many years now and he only just got a basic of it. The DOD only just came out this year as the first to back up the 2002 rsc exclusive so it’s possible. I just really hope we see it as it is my favourite look and all that sculpted detail would be incredible. With scans like we see here, it could give the gold standard R3 a run for its money.

This is the “premium” line from WWE and Mattel. With the price we’re l paying for these figures we shouldnt have to customize these ourselves because Mattel was too lazy to get an elbow of all thing correct. If this were a basic, fine, but this is an “ULTIMATE FIGURE.” The elbow of all things should be accurate. Look I'm not disagreeing with this...but I'm just really pointing out how for me personally it doesn't make much of a difference. I've been around hundreds and hundreds of figures and some things are bound to seem like a raw deal or get on nerves. With that said, it's already printed, shipped and released and unless you want to wait for a running change, there are solutions other than being upset. If we don't express our displeasure with things like this, we resign ourselves to let Mattel get away with more of this in the future. We speak our mind - positive things can happen.

Is Steve and crew aware of this and formulating a plan or ignoring this issue altogether?
I don't know how to tag anyone here, if anyone else can try?

I’m sure there will be a new batch with the fixed arms. But us who pre ordered and getting the first batch are screwed. Lol

Just got my order delivered, keeping Kane in box for the time being but Taker has been one of my most wanted figures in this attire forever. Obviously seeing the renders the main head was a huge concern, but I think they really improved on it for the final product. The two other heads, will remain stored away forever. The torso doesn’t look bad in person l, it seems to fit the attire well enough where it doesn’t look overly bulky. The coat, woo this things awesome. A bit of a pain to get on and off but now that it’s on, it’s staying in. With the main head and coat this figure is awesome, I could literally toss the rest away and that’s all this figure needed. My one gripe right now is there’s only one open hand and when I think of taker entrances, I always go to him at the corner and either slowly raising his arms to lift the lights or throwing his hands up and there’s only one hand that fits that pose. It feels more like an entrance greats figure since I’ll be leaving the coat on and I totally get the gripes with the other heads but I’m pleased with it

The thing that throws the head for me is how light and faded the goatee is, if it was much darker, a bit bulkier and more defined I think that would fix a lot of what’s wrong with the main head.

I haven’t ordered yet and missed the preorders on Amazon. Only thing is Mattel isn’t really known for fixing up their figures due to paint runs.. I’m still excited though. Does anyone know when these will probably hit other online retailers?

Ok as an update, I contacted Mattel directly on this last night and the typical response, I was expecting a voucher, however, instead of the voucher they are sending me a figure from the assortment. They said it's either gonna be Kane or undertaker from the set being shipped to me for free.
Prolly just gonna send me another Kane with the defect or undertaker which doesn't really fix anything.
Guess we will see eventually.

Mattel is known to be one of the stingiest toy companies when it comes to cutting corners (look at their DC line from the past). I’m hoping they prove me wrong and are willing to send out corrected arms to those that preordered early. Hell, Hasbro just did this in the Power Rangers Lightning Collection line earlier this year when their Dino Thunder White Ranger was shipped with major paint apps missing from the helmet. They sent everyone who contacted them a free helmet with the corrected paint (and are still doing it).

Last time I contacted mattel directly, I got issued a refund in the form of a check (major defect on a chase Shelton)

Not going to lie, I'm pretty disappointed with the Kane joint error. It's a pretty big oversight.

yeah that kane elbow is really bad. like REALLY bad. an elite figure from 10 years ago has the proper parts done right (s12 Kane) and this Ultimate which is supposed to be the definitive premium version of a superstar....
just not a good look at all

It's simply inexcusable. So this whole "it's just a part of the manufacturer process we have to deal with" is a ridiculous excuse. It's simply a case of Mattel being cheap and cutting corners in 2021.

Kinda sad that the Kane went from potentially being the best figure of all time to what were they thinking?
