Yes, Kane's sleeve arm's are painted red so when you bend the elbow, the skintone shows. Oh wtf. This may seem small to some, but I find this inexcusable. Why not just mold the arm in red to begin with? I don't have to worry about these kind of issues with other figure lines. I love Mattel's product for the most part, but some of the corners they cut make it hard to root for them.

These are suppose to be the “premium” figures with a premium price tag compared to the other Mattel WWE lines, and they can’t even get Kane’s elbow right. This is a legit complaint from collectors considering the price we’re paying for it.

I'm sure I'll be brushed off as entitled or overly critical over this by the usual suspects, but this is enough of an issue that I'm genuinely contemplating returning the figure once mine gets here.

Listen bro...I like you and I think you are getting hit too harshly for a lot of your opinions (you're opinionated, so what? That's ok) but if a really small area of paint app is going to completely crush your OCD when it comes to these I'd suggest another hobby maybe. Thankfully it's not on the mask or the head sculpt. Remember the Daniel Bryan figures with the weird, painted on skin tone that made him look embalmed? I don't have any Daniel Bryans and will be waiting instead for a Bryan Danielson for exactly that reason. So in other words...I can be pretty nuts with this. We all have weird stuff like that...I am extremely particular with height/scale, especially with arm sizes and figures with inaccurate body types drive me bonkers. But in many cases I just have to let it go. The latest nWo X-Pac I think is a great figure and it's one of my all time favorites, both figure and wrestler, but I hate the Kane mask accessory. It may have seemed like the best idea during production but its big, bulky and weird looking when it's on X-Pac's head. It didn't stop me from getting that one. I have a Mr. Perfect that is too skinny to be Mr. Perfect but he's on display until another one possibly comes out. If not, oh well. That's a BIG change that I think is more likely to be fixed than seeing this version of Kane again with paint applied more correctly in a later release. You might get lucky with a 'running change' since it is paint but who's to say for sure? Do you want to risk waiting for that? Fair enough if you do, but it's sometimes easier to just roll with it. I also can't stand paint discrepancies but it's really just not enough, especially in the case of this Kane, for me to not want the figure. That's really low on the list for me personally. With the studs on the ring gear, the most realistic looking masked headscan so far, etc., the paint app on the elbow joint when bent for me is a minor price to pay for some of the other things that make it as good as it is. I am a 'one character, one figure' kind of collector otherwise I would be swimming in these and absolutely lose my mind and this Kane hits that for me. This is probably the last one I'll ever willingly keep. I'd suggest, if it drives you that nuts compared to the rest of it, to check out the customization boards and see if you can get the paint tone matching and fill it in! If I was going crazy enough I'd try to customize the Kane mask that came with X-Pac to have a strap and stretch around his head. There are ways around it if we don't get exactly what we might expect in most cases. Sure when you pay for something you are spending your money and want it to be exact but take it from me, these kinds of adjustments if you're at least giving it a shot add character to your collections and can be cool. Especially simple ones like that...not saying you should customize a brand new figure - very few of us are good enough to do that, I sure as hell am not. But a small adjustment for accuracies sake can solve it for you and still look factory fresh. Otherwise, if you want everything to only look like the factory version and come to you that way in a hobby filled with so much specific detail, this is what we have and we kind of have to take the good with the bad. I'm not going to be the 'they're just toys' guy but both directions can be ok in the end. Keep it how it is and accept it or have some fun messing with it. TL;DR - don't be sad! This is the “premium” line from WWE and Mattel. With the price we’re l paying for these figures we shouldnt have to customize these ourselves because Mattel was too lazy to get an elbow of all thing correct. If this were a basic, fine, but this is an “ULTIMATE FIGURE.” The elbow of all things should be accurate.

Sad part is, it's not even just the elbow, it's the entire arm that's cast in flesh tone and then painted red. You can see some slight chipping on Kane's forearm in the Ringside video.

Yeah, compared to Hasbro, I feel like Mattel really "wings it" a lot of time when producing action figures. Odd for a company that's been making action figures forever now.

Guy's my only reason to complain about these are that these 2 figures are ultimates and not basics, these are iconic looks, and I waited 2 years for their ultimates. Maybe I overreacted, sorry for that, but my love for these 2 superstars made me mad. People are liking it, so it looks like I'm wrong.

You have every right to share you’re displeasure. The arm-debacle with Kane has certainly hurt my enthusiasm a bit for the figure.

I noticed Undertaker has big biceps like the 1996 defining moments Undertaker. Taker was never that big in the arms back then and for those of you who didn't know Undertaker did the cut throat taunt back in the attitude era even way back in 1993.

Probably in the minority but I wish he had the flesh painted on the side like Elite 12.

I'm curious to see if this will be fixed with a running change. If so, I may have to refrain from pre ordering and just wait until people have the figures in hand, just to be on safe side.

To everyone talking about the skin tone elbow: unfortunately, this is an inevitable problem with production. If you cast the torso and arms in skin tone, the paint apps won't hit every crevice, hence the problem here with the elbow bends. If you cast the torso in skin tone and add paint apps, but cast the arm in red, the pain apps and red casted arm won't match perfectly. If you cast the arms and torso in red, the skin tone portion on the torso won't match the skin tone on the bare arm.

Leave it to Mattel to botch a highly anticipated figure like no other company.

Taker definitely did the throat slash in the Attitude Era Huh, must have forgotten. Well thanks for giving me an excuse to watch some old clips. Still a little confused about why Kane's elbow wasn't cast in red, seems like an oversight but nothing that'll ruin an otherwise perfect figure. I'm pretty sure that due to the manufacturing process, both arms have to be cast in the same colour... so it was either have both arms cast in flesh-tone with one painted red - or cast both in red, with one painted flesh tone. Personally, I think they made the right choice... painted flesh tones hardly EVER look good.
