So if I’m understanding correctly, this isn’t a rerelease in the sense that the same figure is coming out in a later series, but a release in the sense that Mattel is making more of Ultimate 4?

That’s what I gathered. There’s better things you can flip other than figures. If you don’t collect for enjoyment then it’s a big waste of time. I collect for both. I do believe it is messed up on Mattel’s part to not atleast make the packaging a tad bit different “Best of UE” stickerso collectors have the option of having the original release version that was rare and htf different than the new ones coming out. I feel bad for people that spent hundreds of dollars on the secondary market buying these just for Mattel to come in and sell the exact same figure for $30. Call me weird but I like the idea of rare expensive figures. ……or you can realize that people don’t have the money or luxury to drop hundreds of dollars to drop on action figures. Be happy for collectors that now have the option of buying figures for an affordable price. That’s the gamble you take as collector. Things are bound to be rereleased in some form due to demand. |

I have that Ultimate Brock and it is awesome so I'm happy people will have a chance to get one for themselves. As far as The HBK I didn't order it originally so I am glad to get a second chance at this figure.

I hope they mean it as another production run of it as series 4 (or whatever series it was). Would be kind of weird to straight re-release them as a “new” series. This is what it’ll be. Just another run as-is of the old wave. It’s not in place of new figures. The previous run was pretty low and there’s was a lot of consumer and retailer interest so we’ll do one last run to fulfill the requests. Plus it’s a great way to get a great Brock out quickly now that he’s available to us again while we continue to work on a modern Brock. Thanks for the update! Is the Becky Lynch getting re-released as well or just Brock? And will this continue for some of the other previous waves as well, because the line seemed kinda scarce at retail from UE4-8 |

This is quite literally the best figure news I've heard since getting back into the collecting game in 2017. I'll be devastated if I don't land these this time. Are they going up for Pre-order anywhere or just getting shipped to stores? It's gonna be a true battle to find these guys in the wild knowing how many people will be hunting them.

Interesting thing is...it wont be long before the values go right back to where they are now. It's not like they're producing a huge amount of them. They'll be released to the rabid fans camping out Walmart and Target...or to bots online...and there'll still be PLENTY of us empty handed and stuck resorting to outrageous secondary market prices yet again. Re-sellers should be ecstatic they have a chance to double down on making a ridiculous profit.

What a coincidence I showed a friend that's getting into collecting my HBK and told him how much it's going for. Never planned on selling mine so I'm glad those who missed out gets the chance to obtain 1.

I always trust people when they say "word on the street" without any actual proof. Unless Steve comes out and says it, take it with a grain of salt. Personally I don't see them straight re-releasing unless they're doing some kind of "Top Talent" line for the UE's. That’s a smart move, honestly. If they pump out these two, AE Rock, OWN Warrior.. that’s guaranteed sales |

I can see it both ways really - I mean, if you're a die-hard collector and paid $200 for the UE HBK, I can imagine you wouldn't be jumping for joy right now(!). I have no problem with them rereleasing the same figures….my issue is they should atleast make slight changes so ppl know these are not the original releases but a rerelease. |
