I mean some markup is acceptable, kind of a 'late tax' or whatever. But, this is just taking advantage of people or just grossly overestimating their worth.

I get the late tax idea, but a jump from $45 to $99 a figures is absurd. First big misstep from this company IMO. That, combined with the fact that Cardona and Meyers on the last MWFP episode said they had to fight Powertown down to a lower pricepoint on their two-pack is slightly concerning.

Amazing how fast false info spreads here.
An email was sent out that clearly said the figures were now available in limited quantities through another seller. Then logic would tell you that seller bought these at the same price as we did (or maybe got a bulk deal) and has marked them up based on what they paid and or based on current market value. This isn’t a powertown decision, they were just letting us know they were available.
I also dont understand the hate or anger, when we all had 2 long period windows to buy these directly at $45

According to wrestling figure news:
"The address for The Wrestling Collection, which describes itself as a "privately owned creative agency," is in Orange Beach, Alabama. That's where the original PowerTown pre-orders were originally shipped from."
So yeah, whatever. What happened to these being available through highspots anyway?

Was looking forward to these becoming available again. Honest, missed them the first go-round becauseI didn’t have faith when these went on pre-order originally after the Chella madness and long waits from Zombie.
But as good as the reviews have been, I will not spend $100 on a newly released figure. I think it’s a di*k move but won’t hold it against them. Series 2 will just have to be my Series 1.

Yeah, exactly(on 2 being my 1). It's too bad but, I'll just make sure to preorder for next time... especially if there's someone I absolutely have to own like Missing Link.

Bottom line -- they sent an email offering these up for $99. Either it's an implicit endorsement of that price -- or with the shipping locations being the same, they're getting a cut. Not a good look, as others have said

LOL glad I jumped on the 2nd PO but would have gotten Kerry and Magnum at the same price. I did not pre order them because of my elite versions and the price was prohibitive but PT are just the best versions ever made. Not a big deal though but I’m not waiting next time
