Amazing how fast false info spreads here. An email was sent out that clearly said the figures were now available in limited quantities through another seller. Then logic would tell you that seller bought these at the same price as we did (or maybe got a bulk deal) and has marked them up based on what they paid and or based on current market value. This isn’t a powertown decision, they were just letting us know they were available. I also dont understand the hate or anger, when we all had 2 long period windows to buy these directly at $45 Ringside doesn't send us emails saying Paul has their exclusive product for double the cost.

Ringside are a distributor not a producer. The manufacturer are clearly just trying to support one of their customers. Once the product is bought the retailer can sell it for whatever they want. I'm not agreeing with it, but if you don't like it you don't have to buy it.

(Also, "If you don't like it, leave" is such a cop out argument)

I don't like it, but I am not leaving. . It does seem a bit shady though, and I am glad that PowerTown sent the second Email to clear up that they are not the ones selling these for the astronomical prices. As it was, that really appeared that PowerTown was the ones charging the crappy double prices. But we do need an answer as to what they are going to do with the 'damaged' product - that first batch that has the easily broken legs. THOSE should be sold at the original price, or cheaper, as they are defective product.

If people don’t pay the 3rd party price mark ups they will eventually drop the price.

Bootlicking nonsense A company can sell items for whatever they like. Their product. Here in the UK we always have it happen. Legends and ultimates always would be through the nose. Shit, walmart ruthless figures cost us about $55 for the elite...they can charge what they want but I won't pay it. Thats my choice. Others do. If someone sees the value in paying $90 they will. Just because you don't doesn't mean they're wrong. Again - their merchandise to sell. Their price. No bootlicking at all, I didn't buy any of this round of powertown, nor will I want to certainly not for double the price, but my point still stands.

Do you LIKE paying twice as much for something to get it early?

Anyway, you're missing the point: DON'T pay $100, if they get stuck with the figures they'll have to lower the price.

Do you LIKE paying twice as much for something to get it early? It depends entirely on the person. There are people within the hobby who like having something first, or fast. I am one who doesn't care. I know il eventually get it. I'm used to preordering figures a year+ in advance so ad long as I know I'm getting it I'm happy to wait and get most of my figures for retail where possible. Equally there are figures I can't get here. If I want them I have to pay to import them from the USA at a premium cost. I don't like it but no one is holding a gun to my head and making me buy them. It's my choice. These companies are providing you a choice, the choice to either pay double or not. Again, no one is forcing you to pay prices. Its life. Unfortunately business is about profit. Don't forget, people also had the choice to pre order these for their original price. They chose not to. I want the Red Outsides Elite Kevin Nash but I wasn't buying figures at the time - I even saw it at retail and chose not to buy it. Now I've decided I want it should someone sell it to me for retail price?

If PowerTown wants to remove the bad PR of the prices of these, they should just announce Series 2 so we have something else to talk about.....

OK, I know I am getting impatient, but my fear is that the lack of news on Series 2 could mean that there is another issue. My fear now is that we don't hear a lineup for another few months, then we do not see these next series of figures until next spring. Which is fine if it is a good lineup, and another good set of figures, but the lack of word is starting to get disturbing.
This is also my first experience with a company that is not mainstream - Jakks Pacific, ToyBiz, or Mattel - so I am sure I am just being impatient, after reading the stories about the other companies (ZST or Chella).
