OK, I know I am getting impatient, but my fear is that the lack of news on Series 2 could mean that there is another issue. My fear now is that we don't hear a lineup for another few months, then we do not see these next series of figures until next spring. Which is fine if it is a good lineup, and another good set of figures, but the lack of word is starting to get disturbing. This is also my first experience with a company that is not mainstream - Jakks Pacific, ToyBiz, or Mattel - so I am sure I am just being impatient, after reading the stories about the other companies (ZST or Chella). Look at it this way, Powertown have an entire series out there, most of these independent retro companies are still pushing concept drawings 😄

Previously it sounded like they had the next few waves mostly figured out, so I just was anxious for news. Ignore me, just being impatient

Ignore me, just being impatient I’m ready for the next wave announcement but they just did preorders for myers & cardona. Rightfully they won’t put out too many preorders at once. So no reason to panic yet.

Saw a post from them saying once cardona and myers preorders wrap up (end of august) they will have new info on the remco style and THEN series 2 of ultras…
Im hoping the lack of info and delay is just to finally be ahead in production so there is a smaller window of wait time between preorders and getting them in hand to collectors.

With inflation, the spacing out of pre-orders is an absolute must unfortunately. I still think too many pre-orders going up at one time is part of what doomed the nitro stage. Power Town is doing the right thing even if the wait isn’t fun.

When’s the pre order end for Cardona and Myers? I’m guessing Powertown is waiting until then to release the ultra series 2 lineup?

The prices were lowered by $20, so now only $79 per figures. Still too much for me, but MAYBE I would bite if they get to $59 per figure. I just need 3 openers - Magnum, Verne, and Thesz, but they aren't dealbreakers for me if they do not get to the price I want to open. thewrestlingcollection.com

I just want the defects to be sold. I’d buy Hansen for $25-30 to put next to Brody.

It is August now, and will be interesting to see if they do a Black Friday/Cyber Monday thing in November, only 3 and a half months from now. Long game here folks. From here on out though, I will probably be ordering full sets of these right away - one to open and one to keep in package.

My bitch ass caved last week and bought the Cardona/Myers 2 pack. Even at $200, I'm too much of a major Major Mark to pass up ðŸ˜

I don’t know if this is what powertown did however, there is the possibility that they melted all the old figures to remold them and re used the accessories such as belts, jackets and packages that may have been most cost effective.

The decision to re-make them wasn't made until after the batch had already hit the US. I can't imagine they reshipped them melt down the plastic. I think it's a question of whether they think there's more value in selling the figures at a discount or writing off the loss for tax purposes.

I hope they sell them, as long as people are aware that they are the defective ones. I would simply use those at my MIB figures. These were only 3 figures, right? Brody, Hansen, and Gagne, correct?

I don’t think they’ll sell the broken figures. It’s a bad look for them, and I’m sure they’d much rather move forward. I too want those figures, but I don’t want broken ones.

They will never sell the first batch of figures as they could be on the secondary market with no indication that they are defectives (and so hurt the brand image).
