I was making my rounds around the local Targets today and as I came upon the WWE figures I saw a younger lady buying Mean Mark and Edge legend figures. I already have the set so I just said "Awesome, nice to see another legends fan". She replied that she didn't even know who they were, her little boy liked to play with WWE action figures so she was just buying whatever. At first I didn't think much about that but as I stood there for a minute it started to bother me. If parents like her are just buying "whatever" for the kids then why can't they buy basics or current stars instead of legend elites. It's going to be that much harder to find the newest Hogan, Macho or the upcoming collector's edition Bulldog if parents are just picking up random figures for their kids they are just going to play with not knowing the difference and putting even more of a hardship on collectors like all of us. I didn't want to be too rude but I did mention this to the lady in a round about way but she didn't seem to understand or care I guess. This got me thinking, should legend elites and Ultimates be in the neca area of stores to cut down on parents buying random stuff?? It might make collection alot easier.

You shouldve told her to get in touch with me. I couldve sold her Basic Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman and Big E figures at rockbottom prices and thrown in a DVD.

I'm not trying to be a jerk but my point is should the legend elites be with the neca figures since that area attracts mostly collectors. Like I said, it's hard enough to find some of these without parents messing things up just buying random stuff.

This makes no sense why would it matter if they are buying legends or current figures elites ultimates or basics from the store for a kid that is going to play with them even if they don't know who they are or not, maybe the kids know who they are,but that's what they are made for kids to play with. and that's also why we have ringside and various other online stores to buy figures from for us adults besides the more bought from retail the better chance of newer waves to be sent out to replenish the stock at the store I've let multiple collectors edition/ harder to find figures in-store I've had in my hands go to kids in the aisle looking for new figures it's not a big deal

Mattel WWE is primarily a children's toyline and if the Legends series is to be sold at mass retail, it still has to appeal to kids.

Isn't it a good thing that parents are also buying the Legends figures? A lot of people are saying Series 13, Mean Mark, Chyna etc. are warming the shelves 🤷♂️.

The legends series has become very easy to collect and are in abundance , we need them to keep selling for the line to thrive and continue. So Moms and Dads feel free to purchase.

Next time you see her, send her my way. She could buy the countless Rihos, Hagers, and Basic AJs clogging up our damn shelves

I can sorta see both sides of this ….on one hand, parents should focus more on buying the basic figures for their kids to play with since those are geared more for that very purpose including their cheaper price ….on the other hand, they’re all sold in public stores so basically it’s first come first serve whether it’s a collector or a parent buying for their kids

One of the very first figures i got as a kid was the Classic Superstars 12 Dean Malenko.
Did i know who he was? No. Did i love the figure? Yes.
That figure was probably my first introduction to a Legend, so it made me want to learn about him, and other Legend's.
Though now, i have this dreadful cloud of guilt over my head, knowing that my Mum bought that Malenko and ruined some adult collector's chances at finding him, when she could have just bought me a Ruthless Aggression Matt Striker instead. She should have known better!!!
Anyway, this post has to be a joke. If someone genuinely thinks like this, please consider another line to collect.

Ooooh I have a better idea than sticking them in the collector zone where some know nothing mother might still stumble upon them. Make Target stock them in a different random aisle for each legends wave. Then Steve can provide specific instructions to only this forum where to find them. Legends 15 could be in the camping supplies aisle. Legends 16 could be in women's undergarments aisle. Then all the macho men and hogans could be ours and ours only. Lol lol 😆

If the boxing gloves fit other figures, I was going to buy a few of those ortons and start up a brawl for all.
