Kneepads under tights is always an interesting one for me. On the one had I do see where you're coming from, however the figure without any kind of kneepads would look worse and be more of an oversight in the sense of not looking like what he actually wore. Now granted, the best option IMO would be molded pads built into the leg mold, but I know I'm in the minority of wanting molded pads on this board so pads like this are better than none at all to me. Fair point. I still don’t understand the $45 pricing though. Nobody asked for special packaging. I’m sure 99% of people would have been just fine with the standard ultimate packaging. There’s tons of requests all over this board of people telling Mattel not to change the packaging… so this is clearly a dirty, unnecessary money grab. This is basically Mattel experimenting on determining the maximum amount of money they can gouge for ultimates. If they sell enough of these, they will definitely bump the standard retail ultimates to $40 much quicker. Or they realize that they can charge more for an exclusive figure that will be worth double or triple that on the secondary market. It’s kinda smart if you think about it…..Scalpers/Flippers/Collectors love exclusives and rare figures so Mattel can create a figure at a premium price for them and those ppl will still buy it because this figure with unique packaging will be worth $100-$200 when it comes out, and everyone has a chance to own this figure so nobody can complain about the prices on the Bay. |

If they fix the kneepads, cool. If they don’t, I don’t really care lol, I would love molded kneepads, but if not, I’ll take regular kneepads instead of plain tights.

Does MC charge immediately, or when shipped?
Also, what do we think the chances are that the eventual Elite Cody Rhodes comes with a soft goods jacket?

other then hogan and other legends. What current stars have had more h then 1 ultimate so far? Not including Brock Fiend, Cena Cena is a legend now, he hasn’t been full time since 2017 |

Actually I’ve changed my tune on this figure… no go for me. He didn’t have knee pads OUTSIDE his tights. Pretty glaring oversight for a figure yall are clearly overcharging for. I decided against ordering. Nothing against the figure, and I’m a Cody fan. Even though I like these scans better than AEW’s, I think I’m going to get the Supreme. I’m sure Mattel will do a great job, but I just wish I wasn’t having to place an order off a render.

Welp...I'm an idiot who had the cut off time wrong. I thought for some reason in the back of my head it ran through today. I even set a bunch of alarms yesterday to remind myself to take care of it but wound up getting absolutely buried at work.

Ordered one for a friend. Looking forward to when this comes out next year and hoping Mattel will do this again as the pre-order for a week model is one I really like. And now please can we get an UE Mick Foley?
