This way of doing things is obviously new and I’d love to hear your thoughts. Who already ordered? Who intends to order and hasn’t yet? And why are you waiting? Who likes the figure but isn’t ordering and why? Are you in favor of how it’s being offered as a made to order item? If this figure isn’t for you, does the made to order model still interest you for other items? I just ordered mine. =D Waited 'cause I wanted to figure out how I wanted to pay for it (went with Klarna Pay in 4; I generally am not a fan of paying up front for product not received until x date; gapping the payments out in 4 makes it easier for me to digest). I definitely like the made-to-order model; no limits, no restrictions, other than timeframe to order. This is, by far, the most fair method of offering something. 'cause these last 2 SDCC offerings (Slaughter and Zeus/Hogan) have really irritated me beyond belief (selling out in minutes, only to pay ridiculous prices afterwards).

I like this idea of made to order, but I'm passing on this particular figure. Just personally don't have much interest in Cody. But, I for sure will participate if there are different figure choices moving forward. I love this method of ordering too. But, this is most likely only going to be reserved for wrestlers that will be guaranteed to have more figures, elite or ultimate, made in the future. They have to be able to reuse headscans and body types for future releases. Just makes the most business sense. For example, lets say they offer up a Corey Graves first time in the line ultimate. What if they only sell 1500? As a company they would take a loss because of all the hours and expense it took to design and get the figure ready for production. It is a risk, but using Main Eventers or Legends is going to be the only way to go.

I ended up ordering the second one today after ordering 1 the first day they became available. Felt like I might’ve regretted not ordering that second one , but regardless it’s going to suck wait for about a year to get these figures shipped. Was never a fan of ordering stuff that far out because you almost always have to pay upfront.

If this figure isn’t for you, does the made to order model still interest you for other items? I ordered one just now, I had forgotten about it until I was thinking about it at work last night. Other than to see how it looks compared to the AEW supreme I mostly got it because of FOMO, I’d go as far to say discovering the figure has knee pads and the deco is on them when he should not have them killed a large part of my interest. I feel like most of the things about this line that end up being buzzkillers to me are simply just the complete whack ass part choices. That includes using that same horrible Ryback weightlifting belt for every Hogan; please tell me Cody has a new belt I’m very intrigued at how a fabric coat is going to turn out and if it will be better than the supreme plastic coat I feel like these preorder periods should be two weeks long instead of one. I like the concept, I’m just surprised Cody is being placed here when he’s probably one of the few modern wrestlers who would sell well as an Ultimate Overall, the whole package is good despite the issues I mentioned. This is certainly better than trying to rush to get Slaughter or No Holds Barred SDCC exclusives

Who likes the figure but isn’t ordering and why? Are you in favor of how it’s being offered as a made to order item? If this figure isn’t for you, does the made to order model still interest you for other items? First off good job the figure looks amazing. I didn't place an order and here's why. 1) I the price point, I absolutely understand that this is an exclusive and the packaging is amazing, the price is definitely justified, but the price isn't too attractive for me. At this point I have 431 Mattel WWE figures, so I don't hunt figures anymore as much as I hunt deals. 2) I'm an international collector, meaning shipping would cost me a minimum of $30, so $75 for one figure is a bit much. Now for something like the New Gen arena I did not hesitate, because each figure, ring, and Entrance absorb part of the shipping cost. 3) A competitor has a Cody figure with almost the same accessories + an additional set of tights, giving you 1 ½ figures in one package for the same price. With all the points mentioned I am not against the idea of made-to-order figures. I would back a 3 or 4 pack of figures that won't have an alternative at retail. P.S I'm happy to see more WWE representation on Mattel Creations.

I just know I'm gonna regret not getting 2 of these... i just literally ordered me a second one. Since Steve said this was the only ultimate Cody being made in the foreseeable future.

Wait a second.... is this the beginning of the "no plastic" packaging?? I see this in hindsight as whats to come for WWE like Hasbro is doing for Marvel.

i just know this figures gonna look great with the robe with the removeable arms. I just hate the dumb kneepads, $52 pricepoint and no timetable for its release. If they said they would get rid of the kneepads and its coming at the end of 2022. Then it would be an instant buy.

I'm gonna see alot of ppl crying next year when this figure gets release, u had one week to order i wish there was some clarity on the release date. Because theres no way in hell a new debut Cody figure should take longer than 9 months....let alone nearly 15 after his return? i think we're missing something here. We already saw a basic. I think there's an elite cody coming soon that they just dont want to talk about before this preorder ends I mean, I think the idea was to A. Try out a lower prince point made to order model with a heavily in-demand figure and B. Get people to drop money on a Cody Ultimate before the AEW Supreme is released.

I just can't believe that. He is going to be pushed to the moon when he comes back including a wrestlemania main event. How long is the foreseeable future 2-3 years? They use the excuse of doing multiples of some figures because some were exclusive. I can see Cody easily being in the main line maybe 6 months after we have this in our homes
