i just literally ordered me a second one. Since Steve said this was the only ultimate Cody being made in the foreseeable future. I just can't believe that. He is going to be pushed to the moon when he comes back including a wrestlemania main event. How long is the foreseeable future 2-3 years? They use the excuse of doing multiples of some figures because some were exclusive. I can see Cody easily being in the main line maybe 6 months after we have this in our homes But they probably already have the next few UE sets planned, plus he hasn’t done a whole lot since his return except beat Seth 3 times and get injured. Apparently they want to keep this line mostly to main eventers and while he is a top star he was mid-card before and has won 0 world championship belts yet. Also, there’s not really a need to have multiple UE Cody’s when they can just put him in the main elite line or an exclusive elite line. The ones they keep doing multiples of anyway are legends, like Bret, Macho, Hogan, Warrior.

Not including Brock. Bray had 2. And Jeff Hardy but I kinda consider Hardy a legend at this point.

I just want UE Seth Rollins, Wrestlemania 38 attire. Maybe Seth is going to get a spot in the main line.

other then hogan and other legends. What current stars have had more h then 1 ultimate so far? Not including Brock Fiend, Cena Cena is up there as almost a legend at this point though. He’s not a current wrestler. Mattel got a crapton of more stars and legends to be making in the ultimate line.

Both he and Bray are doubles in the main line! What other current star has only been released as an exclusive?

This way of doing things is obviously new and I’d love to hear your thoughts. Who already ordered? Who intends to order and hasn’t yet? And why are you waiting? Who likes the figure but isn’t ordering and why? Are you in favor of how it’s being offered as a made to order item? If this figure isn’t for you, does the made to order model still interest you for other items? -I ordered one today (7/29). I was honestly debating for reasons I'll get into in a second, but the figure looking pretty cool combined with admittedly FOMO got me to order. -So, the reasons I was initially holding off were two-fold. 1. I'm not a huge Cody guy. I like him, but wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to an comparatively expensive preorder for him. 2. I still need to get an AEW Cody for my loose display (I have series 1 and the TNT exclusive lMOC), and likely will get the Supreme for that purpose, which made the Ultimate seem somewhat redundant for me. But that said, the figure/packaging/quality of Ultimates and FOMO got me. -I like the made to order preorder concept, both for this Cody and in general. However, I will add a caveat to that: I only see myself doing it for one or maybe two items at a given time since typing up money in a product that's not coming for a year is a big commitment without anything close to instant gratification. Hope I didn't come off overtly negative, as I am excited for the figure and am curious to see how the concept will be applied going forward.

It’s the same as Neca preorder they started implementing tho. Neca: Please note that pre-order items go into production after the sale ends and on average it takes 9 to 10 months for production before we can start shipping out orders. Same concept, Difference is they give a two weeks.

Like, for the Mattel example, if they did 2-4 a year I'd probably order a majority of them. If they did one a month, I wouldn't.

Remember we have to lock in a lot pretty far out so 2023 Ultimates are fully mapped out with work already underway and Cody isn’t appearing elsewhere as an Ultimate aside from this figure. Given that, we’re talking 2024 at the earliest if he’s chosen to be included as a mainline Ultimate. 2024 and beyond is still wide open but the ship has sailed for another for the 2023 line year Ultimate.

Appreciate the clarification! No worries here as I ordered multiples. Again, since this won't be in our homes till sometime in 2023, having Cody in the mainline for the start of 2024 only makes sense to me. I am sure he will have plenty of different looks when this time comes. At the risk of sounding like a butt kisser, I really do appreciate the time you take out of your personal life to interact with us and keep us up to date with what is going on! We are all collectors and love the WWE

I ordered last night after...erm...a few too many ill-advised efforts to quench my thirst on a warm night after a cruddy day (life-pro tip: put down the phone in these situations, kids).

Ended up pre-ordering one. Had the pre-order not been extended I would have passed up on it.

Same. I balked at the price initially, but I usually get figures from events I attended live so I broke down and ordered one when I saw the deadline was extended.

Actually I’ve changed my tune on this figure… no go for me. He didn’t have knee pads OUTSIDE his tights. Pretty glaring oversight for a figure yall are clearly overcharging for. PASS Not opposed to the made to order model though. Kneepads under tights is always an interesting one for me. On the one had I do see where you're coming from, however the figure without any kind of kneepads would look worse and be more of an oversight in the sense of not looking like what he actually wore. Now granted, the best option IMO would be molded pads built into the leg mold, but I know I'm in the minority of wanting molded pads on this board so pads like this are better than none at all to me.
