WCW Fall Brawl War Games for me, the main event was spectacular. Plus the added, did Sting turn angle was hot at the time. But the best match between the two events was HBK vs. Mankind.

In the back after the match, HBK asked Mick if this (Mankind/Cactus Jack) was always who he wanted to be, Mick replied "no, I actually wanted to be like you, this character that drives the women wild." He mentioned promos/videos he did from when he was a kid about this character, Bruce overheard the conversation and asked Mick to bring in the tapes, and Dude Love was born. Also, Mick was an underrated MVP from this time period (1996-2000). He pretty much feuded with all the top guys (Taker, Shawn, Austin, Rock, Triple H, New Age Outlaws), and always had great matches and an entertaining feud. |

Shawn Michaels Vs Mankind is one of my favourite matches.
However the allure of the NWO was too much so WCW gets my vote.

If I had to choose? September is WCW. the entire "was Sting in the nWo" storyline was just gold. Plus the nWo was in its infancy and the WCW PPVs had a cant miss vibe to them in all honesty.
Now HBK vs Mankind is an all time great.....but we werent to know that at the time.

WCW for me, Hogan vs Savage and the Outsiders going for the tag team gold.
Outside of the Buried Alive match, In Your House was a really weak lineup, although I was intrigued by Austin vs Helmsley as it was bad guy vs bad guy.

WCW for me, Hogan vs Savage and the Outsiders going for the tag team gold. Outside of the Buried Alive match, In Your House was a really weak lineup, although I was intrigued by Austin vs Helmsley as it was bad guy vs bad guy. It was early into his Stone Cold push and fans were already cheering em.Thats when you knew he was going to the top |
