I guess JJ going from one wrestling promotion to the next is Then Now Forever. It would be great if they had like 2-3 years on a merch deal for him, but I'm expecting the worst. We'll get a modernized version of the Legends of the Ring figure in his "iconic" plain red trunks now from AEW.

Partially I'd say so, because I either didn't live through it, or didn't actively follow a bunch of the more absurd moments of his career, so I can just have a laugh at it, without having any reason to genuinely dislike the guy. But I also have a rather weird sense of humor, so I can even get enjoyment out of corny wrestling characters like Jeff Jarrett. |

Him showing up in AEW still doesn’t mean his figure is canceled. The Bay Bay guy and Jeff Hardy are two recent examples of guys who were released/contract expired and went someplace else and still got Mattel figures months after debuting in AEW.

Adam Cole was signed with AEW and his elite 92 figure came out much later, Flair got booted from a few things after the darkside of the ring episode, but his superstars and elite figure came out, Wyatt Released in the Summer his elite 92 Burnt Fiend figure came out 6-8months later, Jeff Hardy got released went to AEW his Ultimate Edition came out months after he signed. Jake the Snake and Billy Gunn have been on-air talents for AEW and they still get Mattel figures. To sum it all up it's a 50/50 chance we get Jarrett's ultimate because he obviously signed a legends/merch contract (if its multiple years we have a chance for a few), it may be the only Mattel Jarrett we get, and when other questions have been asked about those guys Flair, Wyatt, Cole, they were never answered.

That JJ probably hasn't gotten out of the prototype, or even the render phase. A lot easier to scrap at this point. But I hope its the same situation and we still get it. |

Cole was shown at comic-con 2021, left WWE in Sept 2021 figure didn't come in stock until late jan/early feb 2022
Jarrett shown at comic-con 2022, left wwe in August 2022, no release sate announced but would say late jan/eatly feb 2023
