Bill left because his feelings got hurt over criticism over a crappy lookin figure. Nobody "made" him do anything. And Lorenzo was made to be a martyr for several years afterwards. If I remember correctly, it wasn't just a criticism of the figure. I'm pretty sure Lorenzo insulted him personally and said that Bill made no effort whatsoever. And then he bought the figure anyways. Bill left because Chicago posted pics of Best of Attitude Era figures that were on Amazon and Bill threw a fit claiming a mod is posting leaks and he’s never posting on here again or doing Q&As. This was also right around the time Steve came on board. You can go back and find Steve’s first Q&A along with Bill. Bill barely says anything. |

I’m sure there are thing she isn’t allowed to mention that come down from Higher ups. Just my best guess. I, for one, really Hope that when UE 17 goes up that Jarrett is a part of it. One of my Most wanted mattel figures in a long time. |

Maybe they are waiting on someone to make a decision Also shocked to hear someone on wfigs may have been the reason strongbow was cancelled. Lol I totally forgot he bought that Sting. And according to the old threads from back in the day, Bill definitely has an issue in regards to criticism. They really do have some thin skin at Mattel if A) he's gonna get his feelings hurt over a crappy lookin Sting figure that A LOT of ppl were looking forward to until the protos popped up and B) he got a bug up his arse because he thought Chicago was leaking stuff. Point is, Bill was/is very reactionary. |

Lorenzo losing his damn mind that their was no skin color behind stings ear. He was on the verge of death threats and then ended up buying 12. Bill left because of that thread. He came back for a little bit said he’s doing no more questions or leaks. That’s what happens when a bunch of collectors belittle a guy who works his ass off to make something 99.999999% of collectors can’t make. People got real mean with him. But it’s like that throughout all figure collecting, calling the creators lazy or in knowledgeable and comparing well lit customs to legitimate figures. |

Why do people on here feel privileged or owed a response? I don’t understand why people expect a response or feel like Mattel has to be in contact with them. There doesn’t need to be communication on a figure that you haven’t paid for yet. I could understand if you preordered it and are wondering if you’re getting what you purchased or not, but that’s not the case. It’ll be awesome if the figure comes out. If not, it is why it is. This is very different from the E91 RVD chase where people had spent money on it. No one is owed an explanation or answer here. Just wait

Probably because he works within a single, niche division of a billion dollar, multinational corporation that deals in licensing contracts with another billion dollar, multinational corporation. Situations like this are often very fluid in nature (see, for example, the case of Jeff Jarrett being released shortly after the digital mockup for his figure was displayed), and it probably doesn't do well to go public with a statement that may or may not be factually correct until all the details have been adequately hammered out. People are acting like Steve is on here saying "That's for me to know, and you to find out  ". There's a good chance that there isn't exactly a firm answer to the question yet. Shades of that one guy who was like "I don't care if Hideo Itami isn't under contract anymore...Mattel showed us the figure and owes it to us to release it!" |

First we couldn't find King Race. Then Cheif Jay Strongbow got canceled. Now Double J is a mystery. I need a few Double J's in my collection!! The Strongbow figure still irritates me. Mattel is such a coward company……This was an actor / wrestler playing a character on a tv show 50 years ago. Someone should ask Mattel why Yokozuna is ok but Strongbow isn’t? And WE BETTER GET DOUBLE J!!!! Very good point there! I guess Tensi is fine too for Mattel lol We couldn't get Strongbow but we got The Rock and Pipers "characters" from their movies that killed people... |
