This was the most hyped for a WCW show that I ever was! Also, I know we all know how it turned out, but during the Monday Night Wars in my opinion, this was the biggest and most stacked card that WCW ever offered. My hype for this show I think was probably as high as it was for WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam, I maybe would put it in between WrestleMania and Royal Rumble!
Hogan vs Warrior Bret Hart vs Sting Jericho vs Raven Hall vs Nash Page vs Goldberg Rick and Scott going at it,
These were all things that I was very excited about
WCW wins this month easily for me,
On the WWF side, outside of Shamrock vs Mankind and my refusal to belive that the LOD were well and truly dead, not much appealed to me.

WCW
I like to go back and watch the Hogan - Warrior match just to laugh at how horrible it was.

WCW wins this one for me!
It was such a solid, stacked PPV event. More so than Starrcade 97 or Starrcade 98 were.
So WCW gets the nod from me on this one!

Halloween Havoc 1998 is probably my favorite WCW PPV out of all the ones I’ve seen so obviously it gets my vote.

WCW
I was such a WWF fan back then but when you look at the matches now, they were kinda weak. WCW seemed to have the better quality matches.

When you look back at a lot of WWF PPVs from 1998-99, the match quality for the most part is not very good at all. The ridiculous popularity of pro wrestling during that era and ravenous crowds who ate anything/everything up really masked the fact that what happened bell-to-bell usually wasn't all that great.
The consensus has been that while WCW had the better undercard during those years the WWF always had the edge comparing main events. Think that was still the case in 1998 although it definitely varied throughout the year. I don't think the WWF really hit their PPV stride until the end of 1999. That momentum carried over into 2000 which may be their strongest calendar year ever when rating the quality of their monthly shows.

Survivor Series 98 was one of the greatest storyline driven shows ever and WW3 that year plain sucked. WWF this time.

Easy win for WWF this month. Austin Vs McMahon was kicking into high gear and I was loving the one night tournament idea to crown a new champ.
Outside of Bret Vs DDP and the World War 3 match, not much interest in the WCW card to be honest.

"Cause it's a deadly game!!"
Gotta go with WWF on this one! Survivor Series was so fun that year with that WWF Title tournament.
Still to this day, if I am feeling nostalgic for Attitude Era stuff to watch, I watch Survivor Series '98 since it pretty much as it all in that PPV!

WWF on this one. I get the majority of the talent were tied up in the battle royal but a really poor undercard for WCW here!

The WCW card excites me about as much as Big Show in an ironman match, so I'm going to begrudgingly vote WWF here - it really annoyed me that there were no traditional "Survivor Series" matches at all.
