I love that not everyone is into this line. Makes it easier for me to collect. And honestly that Legends chase Jake is one of my favorite figures look wise. So I’m happy to add a better version to my collection.

I agree that Rude's gear could be flashier, but that's how the LJN looked. So I'll live. I just hope Rude has a kissing scan.
That would be a great alternate head. |

Guessing by the packaging that the robe will be red. The blue robe with pink lining from WM IV would’ve been nice. Was the robe blue or purple? Either way, this would be nice since they did the red robe with a previous Rude figure:  |

Yes, which is odd considering he only wore it once on TV (at least from what I can find). Jake's LJN and Hasbro were based on the same attire as well. Can you link the match? Here's an image from the match:  |

Tre-freaking-mendous. I’m all in on these. First Ultimate Jake, first Ultimate Rude. I’m actually kind of psyched to get an arguably plain Rude as an Ultimate since it matches the Hasbro. Would’ve been fun to have Cheryl on the tights though. I only wish they’d done an ultimate Damien with numerous points of articulation 🤣 🐍 First time Ultimate Damien included. He’s fully poseable. Will he come with a more detailed paint application? |

They may as well put Ricky Steamboat in his Wrestlemania III attire if they plan to play it safe. He hasn't been released in Ultimate articulation either.
I noticed that Steve Ozer kept mentioning Cyndi Lauper in his Instagram video and with them already having the next SDCC signed, it makes me think that they have Cyndi Lauper signed to a deal.

Someone in the chat asked if she could be made and he said she wasn’t but if she was then she could be a good fit in the line. Someone else asked if a specific wrestler (I forget who) could appear and he said no because they’re focusing on the original LJN line. Then remembered he mentioned Lauper earlier and clarified that even tho she wasn’t ever in the line she woulda fit right in but this other person mentioned didn’t wrestle in the same era so they wouldn’t work for this line. |

What's the craic with Jake getting figures anyway? I thought he has been signed with AEW for years now? He has a Legends deal but it doesn’t prevent him from working elsewhere. Same with Bill Gunn. Probably smart enough to realize he’ll get mores off merchandising with WWE than with AEW. |

I totally get those who feel underwhelmed by wave 2. There has been a lot of valid criticism about why these two and why these looks.
As someone who never found that chase Jake though, I'm excited to get this one, especially with new body and articulation. This version of Rude probably would have been a pass for me (I'm hoping for a kiss face too) but I only have his last Summerslam figure, so I'm fine with adding him to the collection.
I do find it odd that Jake has his snake skin boots. On the one hand, its supposed to be an Ultimate of his LJN and his boots should be purple. On the other though, if this ends up being the only Ultimate Jake the Snake we get, it checks all of the boxes for his most memorable look. Its why I'm ok with the tan chaps on Funk. They SHOULD have been green, but if its our only Funk, in the grand scheme I'd rather they be tan.
If these are planned to be 2 releases a year, is it safe to assume this is the first set of 2023 ans we'll have a 2nd set in the Fall/Winter? Because if there is another set planned for 2023, I do kind of hope they throw us a curveball. I love Randy Savage, but a robe and a bandanna are not enough to get me excited for ANOTHER pink trunks/white stars Macho. They can keep that Savage in their back pocket for a while before doing that version yet again.
