Yokozuna was a Polynesian man representing Japanese culture. Polynesia has cultural connections to Japan and never had a major conflict as far as I know. Jay Strongbow was a white dude from New Jersey with Italian heritage portraying a Native American. I don’t know who is up to date on American history, but maybe look up white men and their history with Native Americans. Being a white man playing a character of a culture that was widely massacred by white men isn’t a good look. Claiming everyone is too sensitive in regards to real life issues against a race of people that resulted in many deaths while complaining about not getting a little plastic toy is also isn’t a good look. Jakks made a perfect fine CJS figure. Go buy that. How do you know Jay Strongbow didn’t identify as a Native American? I identified as a Hulkamaniac. Then I transitioned into an NWOite. |

You’re still not making the point you think you are. And you ignored my overall point to just continue to post essentially the same thing with different examples. You probably have a busy day tomorrow at your big boy job so get some sleep champ. Your 25 employees are counting on you. Continually saying “you’re not making the point you think you are” doesn’t invalidate any of the counter arguments to your ridiculous stance. You offer no facts to shoot back, and even admitted last time you agree with me to a degree (I’m flattered). Just some tips for the real world: this tactic won’t get you far, especially if you plan to get out of your parents basement at some point. During lunch my team was thinking of celebrating thanksgiving again with a nice big Turkey while watching CJS highlights and drinking coco from our Hulkamania mugs. Your rebuttal to people continues to be “you live in your parents basement!” Trust me, everyone is impressed that you’re in your 30s and have a real job. And how you’re so busy working the real job that you don’t have time to be on here all the time, despite putting so much time into this. I myself own a three bedroom house and probably make more money than you, but those things have nothing to do with the conversation. I pointed out why the comparison between Yokozuna and CJS didn’t work and your argument was “Well explain all these other gimmicks!” You haven’t proven any point over than you think they should stop making figures of people who portrayed different ethnicities than their own. Then half your examples were people playing characters for different nationalities, not different races. Mr Fuji was of Japanese descent. Lana and Rusev were Russian sympathizers. Sabu and The Original Shiek were part Lebanese which is Arabic. Both American and Russians are the same race so Nikita isn’t an example of playing another race. Kofi in kayfabe was pointed out as faking being from Jamaica and it was dropped. What I agreed with you on were Hassan and Santino, which I don’t see them making any more figures of anyways and nor should they so I agree. Jay Strongbow was a white guy playing a stereotypical character of a race of people that were largely slaughtered by white guys. That is THE fact. He’s never getting a toy from Mattel. Go over pay for the few that got out there, go buy the Classic, or go buy a custom bucko. |

You have your opinion and I have mine. I see nothing racist about Strongbow. He was an actor playing a character no different than any movie or tv show back in the day. You can also sugarcoat it all you want but Yoko wasn’t Japanese. If one is ok then all are ok. If all are bad then all should be canceled. |
