I’ll grab any legends that show up in the Basics line, but sadly they’re extremely few and far between these days.
I miss the good old days of grabbing a basic Honky, Bret, Razor, Flair, Hogan, etc for less then ten bucks.
Looking forward to getting the yellow Andre when it hits stores.

I will buy basics if it is a first time in the line, or if there has been a big update to someone’s look (completely different head sculpt, new tattoos, etc…)
Obviously, elites are the way to go, but sometimes someone may get a basic and never get an elite (Noam Dar, Mike Kanellis, Tamina) and I’m gonna get it.

I have 8 and it’s all Taker or Sting. Haven’t bought one since series 100 Taker
I barely pay attention to them these days

Hell to the no. They're basically useless. I used to get some when the line first popped up because they had alternate headscans and actually looked decent. Basics also had swappable biceps too. Now, you could barely swap parts due to the pinless double jointed elbows/knees. I'm cherry picking the line because I've lost a lot of interest in general, but my purchases are just UE's and Elites. Even now, I think the last figures I bought were the Legends Acolytes.

I've bought loads of basic Macho Man over the years for extra heads, arms, glasses, knee pads for customs. Basic Sid for a custom, basic Giant v Flair 2 pack for the updated Giant head and mid 90s flair head. Nothing recently though. I still need to get the basic Warrior in neon green. |

If its somebody that's not gonna get a elite for a while(Bron,Toxic,LDF,Indi) or one of my favorites with a attire that's new(Finn in different colors,Johnny,new Rollins attire)Ill buy it.

Last year, I purchased that brown-suited Baron Corbon to convert into Vince McMahon. Got the AE smiling Vince head on eBay, did a peppered-gray paintjob on the hair, gave him the RAW IS WAR mic that came with Top Picks The Rock in the red logo jersey, and now I'm pretty happy with it.
Before that, I got the Bret/Undertaker 2-pack, the Bret I plan to eventually convert into Owen since I have DM5 Bret already, and the '97 Undertaker because I prefer the Basic to the Ultimate.
I don't get them often, but now and again they have some use. I like that they've begun to make more guys in suits and other gear. I wish they'd release more classic managers this way. I don't care if suited guys are Elite or not, and if that is how we have to get Mr. Fuji or more Heenans or whatever, I'm fine with it. I wish that BAF Rude was in a brown suit as a Basic, for example.

Only if I need the head for a custom, or if the Basic has a better head than the Elite. For example, there is a Ziggler Basic with a great head that I put on one of his Elites.

I'm building up a women's figure fed, so I get the basics largely for that. They're generally better than the men's just for having the better hip articulation.

I have only two basic figures … the green Starrcade 90 Sting & the Network Spotlight Sting … I bought them simply because they were surfer attires I wanted & I collect his figures ( he holds the lead for having the most figures in my collection at 12 currently … also counting Jakks & Aew figures )

I was buying them for my older son, but mainly just main eventers. He kept on playing with Elite/Ultimate Goldberg figures, so, I thought I would try again and buy him a basic Goldberg (w/ Drew McIntyre). Dude never touches them. So… Maybe if I see a cheap Cody or Brock I’ll get them, but otherwise.. Nah.
