I think mattel still get a lot of undue criticism They produce on the whole mass produced product snd get a lot of that product out very quickly and release a lot of figures each year yet get compared to much more expensive snd artisan figure companies. Glaring things like rhyno’s arms are so few and far between. When we’re in the territory of people complaining boots have the wrong style of laces etc we’re past pedantic territory I’d give most metal figures a good 8/9 out if 10. It’s far between you get a figure who just from the head you can’t tell who it is There are definitely some areas where the criticism is warranted - continued issues with color matching, some parts choices, etc. But like you said, for a $20 figure, I feel the value is absolutely there. You can tell the figures are made by fans. They love the same deep cuts and iconic attires that we do. But it's a job, and like any job, I'm sure there are behind the scenes factors that means not everything is exactly the way we might want it to be. There was a period where I was barely buying any WWE figures. But they've been knocking it out of the park over the last year or two, with more great releases on the way. I definitely think competition pushed the line to be better, and they certainly rose to the challenge. It's very different from Hasbro, who seem to be going scorched earth with some of their fan bases after being widely praised a few years ago.

Maybe it’s cuz they’re 13 years into the line and I’m running out of room but I think it’s about time for them to call it quits and let someone else take a crack at it. Hold onto the license for the 5.5” scale and focus solely on Superstars.

I think Mattel has been the best WWE figure producer thus far. Now, with that being said they make countless questionable mistakes that do deserve to be brought out. Within the last 10 years or so, we've gotten figures with scale, unique molds and pretty decent lineups. I don't think there's any other toy manufacturer atm who would be able to make what Mattel has. I honestly don't like Hasbro, most of their figures feel like they're made from dollar store plastic and ratchet joints are somewhat annoying. Not to mention how they reuse the same Bucky Cap mold for every other figure. They've given some figures butterfly joints and then the rest have the same type of articulation. Some of their recent molds have been good, so I'll give them that. I do wish we could have an alternative to Mattel figures though as a more premium line in 1:12 scale. I think it would satisfy those of use who want something a little high end, but not on a Hot Toys level. I think a $50 price tag would be fine if it's like a set of four figures a year. Crazy to think that some places are charging $30 for elites.

Mattel's been putting out good to great product for awhile now. Their consistency and willingness to improve the past 5 years should be lauded. I've probably bought more WWE stuff in the past year mostly thanks to wonderful Target Legends clearance sales.
My biggest issues with Mattel are lingering ones: questionable part choices, incorrect skintones (esp. when it comes to main eventers like Austin, Roman, Brock, Ronda, Hogan, Eddie etc.) and QC issues (crooked eyes, stuck shoulders, frozen ratchet joints)
It does seem like current talent gets updates at a glacial pace, but they're obviously doing the best they can to keep up. I appreciate the deep cuts and new legends signings.(The kid in me loves all the RA era stuff we've been getting lately.)

I mean overall I would have to say I’m pretty satisfied. Some quality, part choice, and lack of certain stars/attires complaints but what are you going to do 🤷🏼♂️
Much better than Jakks and Jazwares

Just give me an Edge with a bigger torso and some chest hair and I’ll be happy.

I like what Mattel is doing. Elites are really well made figures and when Mattel hits it out of the park, they really hit it out of the park.
My only beef is with the distribution. Between this line and Masters of the Universe Origins, which I also collect, Mattel gets a D. It is literally impossible to find some of these figures, like the Rumble and Survivor Series waves. They're not in store and not available online unless you pay twice as much. Mattel can't give an answer as to whats going on either. Its frustrating.

Think they're doing an incredible job. Well done Bill, Steve and the team.
The UE line is my favourite since Classic Superstars and Hasbro- proper top tier. Bringing in the Creations aspect - CC, Retros, etc is a great idea to get never before thought of figures. Elite line is good, I love some of the random figures we get, could do with some variety but overall very good. Legends is excellent line too, and so glad they're finally coming to the U.K.
Overall, Mattel is the best wrestling line of all time IMO

Very satisfied. Echo a few others about not painting on the skin tone on a few figures and the occasional howler, but 95% of the figures I want to buy are executed brilliantly.

I think they’ve gotten too good for my liking… Weird to say, but the ultimates are so great that it’s made me feel that elites aren’t good enough anymore and now I have a bunch of figures I don’t want. So I don’t really buy much anymore

They just look so weird in terms for proportions. The skintones look odd too...

My only complaints are ab joints are too loose on elites sometimes (like half the time for me) and for some reason on a lot of cruiserweight torsos, the left shoulder can’t rotate even 180 degrees without meeting resistance that feels like it’s gonna snap. I don’t know why. And it’s always the left shoulder, never the right. It’s been an issue for like 6 years now. It’s really weird.

I’m pretty satisfied with the Mattel product overall but there is a part of me that is ready for a new main line “Series 1” that isn’t Elite style but I don’t know what that could look like tbh

Personally satisfied however I wish the basic line remained in its original scheme. With basics there was and still is much more depth in selection and customization. Elites and UE usually ditch out the usual top stars where basics deliver variety. My collection is dated but I find myself more gravitated toward the older stuff.

I find very little to complain about outside stuff like the Hollywood Hogan torso.
I hope Hasbro NEVER gets it. Have you seen what they're doing to Power Rangers? QC issues and blatant laziness across the board.

I love the Ultimate Line. I think they are killing it. Sure I own too many Warriors and Hogans but the line rocks and displays so nicely. Some pros and cons though.
Pro- No Lex Luger Ultimate
Con- No Bayley Ultimate
