How is your overall satisfaction with the line right now?
A few years ago comments like "I hope Hasbro gets the license" were pretty common. And it seemed like for a short bit Jazwares was generating a lot of buzz. Now Hasbro has gone full heel turn with numerous price hikes and some messy PR situations with some of their fan bases that have that have generated mainstream negative press. Jazwares has been inconsistent and the AEW product overall isn't as hot as it was at various points.
But it feels like the Mattel team has hit a groove. Big changes in my mind have been the success of the UE line, successful Mattel Creations campaigns, the Legends line, and some continued improvements in design.
What are your thoughts? Has your buying changed in either direction?

Mattel are nailing it with the WWE line. Ultimate Editions & the Coliseum collection are my favourite lines. I just wish we could have more a year! We complain a lot but I’m glad we have Mattel. I especially appreciate the light grain on molded skin. It looks much more premium than the shiny plastic on AEW figures.
My only constructive criticisms are:
1. I wish they’d go back to skin molded torsos for singlet figures.
2. Elite main line packaging is a bit cheap looking compared to other brands. Considering figures are going up in value, I’d prefer something more premium looking. We know they can smash it in this department but it feels like they don’t try as hard as they do on Ultimates or Mattel Creations packaging.

I think they're doing well, but there are quite a few easily corrected design decisions that seemingly crop up around every figure I'm interested in. Strange part choices when we know accurate parts are available (i.e. Razor's long and short elbow pads, for instance), choosing accurate colors for iconic attires (HHH's Summerslam '98 purple, Razor's varying greens, Razor's chase Ultimate purple), correctly applying deco (missing deco hits on the recent Doink figure), etc. They're so close to perfect so often that these simple missteps are a big bummer.

They have a lot of design issues like a lot of brands do. Skin tones, salmon gate on that horrendous WCW Bret, short M$M, Bret Hart’s face, Bills purple colour blind issues etc etc
But I wouldn’t have anyone else to be honest. In my opinion, only Storm Collectibles figures have better quality and so they should at their price point. Hasbro have really messed up over the past few years.

Mattel are doing phenomenal. They’re right now giving us the best wrestling figure of all time. They’re slowly making advances. True FX, double jointed elbows, pinless double jointed elbows and pinless legs slowly being rolled out. Not to mention the Ultimate Edition figures with added butterfly joints. I hope Mattel never loses the WWE license.
A couple side notes, I literally can’t believe how Hasbro has completely gave the consumer the middle finger on many different occasions as of late. I have all but stopped buying Marvel Legends because of the ridiculous price increases. Not to mention continuing to reuse old outdated body parts and a severe lack of accessories for the ever increasing price tag.
And Jazwares… well they just suck. Please no. Never.

Something that I feel like we take for granted is the amount of input we have in figures, compared to other companies and the direct communication we have in this board with AFA, which even in other Mattel lines they don't have and that is BIG. I don't think we'd get a lot of figures/looks we've gotten if those guys didn't take this approach.
As stated above, Mattel has some issues here and there, mostly details that can be corrected, but overall they're doing a terrific job lately with their updated re-releases, UE line, Mattel Creations/RSC exclusives. So I'm very happy with Mattel right now.

Mattel does a great job and it feels like they love their WWE product more than any previous brand. Jakks and Hasbro will always hold a special place in my heart, but Mattel really feels like wrestling fans making wrestling figures for wrestling fans. It's just a shame that we're in arguably the best era for figures while simultaneously in the worst era for collecting, bar none. You've never been more able to amass a collection that spans so many eras and figure forms, but we are at the mercy of online retailers, third party sellers and big box chains who haven't cared about the toys they carry for at least a decade. If stores like Toys R Us and KB were still thriving there would be no doubt that we are living in the best era for wrestling figures.

I think they are doing a fair job. Although some of the figures feel cheap and have loose joints compared to when they first started. My biggest complaint I guess is they can’t sign their own legends but that’s not really their fault.

Overall very satisfied. Just hate how they struggle with certain ski tones and colors on attires(eg dominik eddie razors green, purple

I'll put it this way, I only go all in for three lines: Valaverse, NECA, and Mattel UEs and Legends.
My standards are high and Mattel consistently nails them. Proud to collect this line

They have stepped up their game with competition from Jazwares UFC and AEW but ZST is on their asses with the retros.

im perfectly satisfied with mattel, its (once again) the mass market retailers that are completely awful I'd echo this, I don't care much about parts (and generally think most of the TrueFX scans are great). Thankful for Ringside and other spots where we can get the figures, but it's beyond frustrating that retail went from a couple waves behind to not even close/not even stocking figures anymore. Maybe losing TRU has something to do with it, but it's frustrating to not be able to hop in the car and grab a full set off the pegs, those days feel long gone. It's a real shame because the Legends line is great (and gives retailers a blueprint how to make the most of a partnership), but on the other hand we're getting lines tailored for Walmart with less figures per wave, which still aren't even stocked/distributed correctly.

I love Mattel and what they're doing with the WWE line. Are they perfect; no one is, but they make it easy to correct, if need be, or to just straight-up live with it. Their problems are a whole heck of a lot less than the junk the other manufacturers do.

Very satisfied. At my age I wish I had an excuse to quit collecting, but IMO Mattel is currently better than ever.

The figures are great, and distribution is spotty but I usually get what I'm after. My only complaint, which is really more of a WWE issue probably, is that they're missing the boat on all these great characters that people want that are getting scooped up by these retro 3rd parties.

Overall, I would say I'm pretty satisfied at the moment. If I were to state a One quibble, it would be skinny legs on larger figures. Arn Anderson bulky torso - skinny legs! I just hope when Rick Steiner comes around - he doesn't have skinny leg syndrome.

I've come to terms with my current view on WWE product and how that obviously impacts how I buy current figures.
Overall I'm happy with the Exclusive lines like the RA Elites and the Legends line.
I am pretty happy with Ultimate figures but honestly feel like we could use more. They are obviously the hottest line they have and collectors clamor for them.
I wouldn't be opposed to doing 1-2 additional sets a year or even adding a 3rd figure to a series, even if they did a third figure every other set. I really just want to fill out as many UE holes in my collection as I can.

I think mattel still get a lot of undue criticism
They produce on the whole mass produced product snd get a lot of that product out very quickly and release a lot of figures each year yet get compared to much more expensive snd artisan figure companies.
Glaring things like rhyno’s arms are so few and far between. When we’re in the territory of people complaining boots have the wrong style of laces etc we’re past pedantic territory
I’d give most metal figures a good 8/9 out if 10. It’s far between you get a figure who just from the head you can’t tell who it is

I haven’t bought much since 2017. Since then just:
Retros A few MOTWWEU/Superstars New Gen Arena UE Shawn Michaels Survivor Series 96 Bret Hart
I like the balance currently with the diverse lines.
I’ve been on the forum since before the announcement that Mattel would be taking over the WWE line, and since that day it’s been much the same: Some valid criticisms and level-headedness, and a hell of a lot of entitled manbaby whining.
