I didn't get the last one though I'm a big Next Gen mark (no regrets at all), and I won't get this one even though WCW was better in my opinion (and I'm not disappointed). The stage is really cool, but I don't need it and I don't have space for it. And I don't want any of those figures: I have most of the Hogans I want, all the Warriors I want, I don't need this particular DDP or Rey, and I only care for Steiner Bros Scott Steiner. So this is an easy pass.
Still, I think it looks cool! I hope everyone who wants it get it, and I hope all tiers are funded! We'll see if I jump on crowd fund number three if/when that happens.

Warrior is probably Mattel’s biggest legends seller. It’s a smart move to have him be the final tier to motivate more people to back it, especially in its final days. And him in jeans is probably his most remembered and requested look from that era. Especially considering how much his WCW UE is going for in the secondary market. But I didn't watch WCW. So they have to try and sell to a lot of people who didn't watch it. I love warrior, and have most of his figs, but I disagree on it being the 11k to nudge more people. New gen crawled to the 8k mark. I don't see this hitting 11k And if it doesn't? The hole thing isn't worth 400 imo. Especially a thrown in Hogan figure that looks exactly like his other 2 ultimates. I mean, forgive my ignorance, but you got a late WCW warrior, Steiner and DDP. But you have a debuting Hogan, with a late nitro stage? The attire choice is throwing me off. But did nitro have that stage when Hogan debuted? Forgive my ignorance 😂 I think we forget that New Gen got like 6K backers in a day. There wasn’t any motivation to back it after that because they didn’t add anymore tiers and cut off the ability to get Savage. That’s not the case this time. Hogan unlocks if funded within a week and will be available even if you get in late. Also, Nitro is a much more popular brand averaging something like 5 million viewers a week during its peak. The Nitro stage is a lot more iconic and eye catching than a neon entrance and another ring. Plus Hogan and Warrior bookending tiers will get people in early and late. |

You seem conflicted - like you should buy this even though you didn't watch WCW? If it's just the figures you'd want, just buy them on the secondary market - it'll be way cheaper than $400. I can understand that this isn't going to be for everybody; I'm just hoping there are enough WCW fans left (such as myself) to get this funded in-full. My main disappointment is that there is no Eric Bischoff figure; He was integral to WCW Nitro and should be part of this set. I'd have also been happy with a late-career Mean Gene Okerlund who was a huge part of Nitro. Booker T is also a glaring omission - and no Nitro set is complete without Sting and Flair (I understand why they're not here). I hope this meets 11K but I have my doubts - I will be a day-One backer - I watched WCW Nitro every week while it was on! I'm a huge WCW fan and always will be - besides my minor gripes I'm thrilled with this set and hope it becomes a reality! |

Reading comments across multiple platforms I don’t see this thing getting close to 11k. They will have to dump a surprise that would be better than the Macho for the last crowd fund. People that I thought would be in no matter what are saying they don’t have room and and aren’t blown away by the figure choice. Overall I think toy crowdfunds are dead in the current economic climate

The stage looks fantastic, I just have no need/room for it so happy to save £480 (including shipping to the UK). That being said, I hope it gets backed for those that want it.
I will wait for the Big Poppa Pump Elite which I am sure we will get at some point.
Also, guessing the next RSE Ultimate ring will be a Nitro ring...

I’m on the fence right now. I love everything about it, only thing I’d change is instead of that Hulk I would of went with a Hollywood.
But I wish I knew I’d be getting all the figures. If I knew we’d get all the figs then I’d definitely think it’s worth it. If we only get 2 figs, I don’t think I’d be able to justify it.
The whole thing is amazing though. I think that era Scott Steiner was the perfect choice for this type of thing.

I know WWE doesn't have too many WCW names from that era available to them under licensing deals so the options are limited for sure. However, who would you suggest they could have gone with that would have better fit that Doink slot - meaning a person/character that likely wouldn't have ever gotten the UE treatment outside of a crowdfund project like this?

I have a friend willing to go partially in on it with me, with me getting the figures and him getting the stage. It’s not worth it to me though if I won’t be getting all 5 figures as I’ll be covering most of it.
There’s only a little over a week to get Hogan included. I hope people realize that and get him backed, too.

I just don’t get it The new gen arena only got backed because they chose a highly detailed, iconic attire that we wouldn’t have otherwise ever got. They followed it up with a plain yellow trunks Hulk I can buy on Amazon for $30 right now with the sole difference being a different facial expression. Hogan is coming with two soft goods shirts, two bandas, wristbands, and the WCW belt that's not good enough to warrant it. It's basically copy and paste of an already released figures with different accessories. |

Thats a good thing tho. It doesn’t discourage people from coming in late. You’ll get Hogan regardless if you back day 1 or the last day as long as it funds early. Early backing bonus is only for those who back during the early stages. Like Macho man. Those who back after the early backer deadline won’t get hogan. Read again 🙈 |
