It’s around 30 dollars to Australia Theres no way something of that size and weight would ship in the US for $30 let alone to the other side of the world. Shipping is literally $34.95 USD on Mattel Creations when you punch in an address in Australia.

Hope it gets funded for all those who want this.
There was no better feeling than refreshing the New Gen page on that last day and seeing the preorder number jump every single time. Each refresh was like a mini shot of adrenaline.
Need to start taking bigger bites though to close the gap. As a baseball guy, looks like this thing is going to need some ninth inning heroics to happen.

I feel like there are far less people "playing chicken" with Mattel than their people who just aren't impressed by the offerings and the playing chicken meme is just people coping.

This. This exactly. And I fully understand people not being able to spend the $400 on this, but even so, it is not charged at least until May 7, when the thing ends. So my thought is that everyone who even thinks they want it should get their order in ASAP. Then, if they decide between today and May 7 to cancel, go right ahead and do so. That would hopefully at least get whole thing backed and Hogan as part of it. I would guess if it gets close to the mark towards the end of the day, Ringside may go in and order a few hundred to parse out and sell down the line. So tonight will be some interesting thread watching at the very least. End is at Midnight Pacific time, correct? No. I’m only backing if it has a chance to hit 5K by tonight. Right, but if you back it now, then that is one more closer to the goal. If everyone who might want it backed it now, then it would help everyone. It just feels like everyone is taking a 'wait and see' approach, when the sad thing is that if everyone that wanted one got in on it, it would hit the early mark much easier. Everyone's different, but the way I think, this is just a big mind boggling that so many are taking the 'wait and see' approach, which in my mind is shooting the whole thing in the foot.

It’s £9 to ship to the UK.

It’s £9 to ship to the UK. Which still doesn't resolve the actual complaint most UKers seem to have, which relates not to the shipping cost, but the excessive customs charge being levied up front. Final sales price shipped to an address in London is £509.00, which shakes out to around $620 USD. Imagine going to a US buyer located in Massachusetts, who's going to pay $25 in sales tax, and telling them "well, it takes a lot to get it from California to Boston, and we're only charging a flat domestic rate, so we're gonna just go ahead and tack on another $15 there, guy".

No difference if it hits 5K at 5pm or 10pm. Hogan is a deal breaker for me.

1818 backers as of 3:09 pm EST. It’s a done deal. No way this gets backed. This has to be pretty embarrassing that the number of backers are abysmal.

At the current rate we need 3x the amount of people per hour than are currently clicking buy. You may get a late rush as few hundred but I think this things as good as done I’d love to see mattel go down the route of making more of the mattel creations exclusives like the Cody
