My $0.04 (thanks to inflation, it has doubled).
On the one hand, I can see Mattel not wanting to set a bad precedent and not cave in to their word. Steve AFA even said the same thing.
However, in business, the bottom line is that matters and that's making a profit and money. I don't see them not doing something (i.e. letting those that are funding just to get Hogan, like I am, and let us have him or doing something). I am going to give it some time to see if they can course correct somehow. If not then I will call and cancel my 2x crowdfunds. I can see others doing that too. Mattel I am sure has already spent some good capital to get this far and I don't see them eating costs like that.
So again, THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE BECAUSE I THINK SO!!!

This is up to mattel now. If they think it’s worth the investment they’ll fix things. If not they’ll say well we tried and save their money.
I think had they started with elites instead of ultimates that woulda lowered the cost a bit. Repaint of elite hogan and Rey included then at 5k you get ultimate ddp and 7k ultimate Steiner, etc.

This thing is +6 today….sad to say there is no way this thing even gets to 3k let alone 5k. I’m disappointed because I backed 2 and was really excited for this. I can understand why people did back this whether it be price, finances or want. Was a really cool idea but will fall short.
What I’m most disappointed in is the fact that this pretty much closes the door on a Bash at the Beach or Halloween Havoc entrance crowd funder
Also curious as the what if anything Mattel will say about the shortfall….whether it be just saying ‘you clearly didn’t want this item’ OR taking any responsibility for why this did not get funded.

It's so disappointing that at first so many people oh yes make it make it, but then they get back and say no to a masterpiece. We need this backed up. Where are the Major Wrestling who helped backed up the New Gen ring plus entrance. It sucks because we only need 11,000 people and the US only have like more than 100 million people. If we at least get 5,000 fans to back it up it would be a dream come true. But today it got stuck. We need for mattel to extend the hulk hogan for everyone. Please we need this for our collections.

I saw someone say it’s possible to unback the crowdfund. Is this true?
Upon further consideration I’m wanting to save the cash since it seems unlikely we are getting the steiner

I'm definitely gutted, it hasn't moved from 2,005 in a good while now. I've tried to remain optimistic and hopeful but I'm starting to accept more and more that this whole thing is dead in the water.

The big surprise for me was lack of major pod / influencer push Didn’t cardona back like 11 new gen arenas? Also they were very vocal about it, a lot less so this time They even made a T-shirt plugging the New Generation Arena. Are they plugging this project at all?  |

It's at 40% with like close to a month left a week and a half that passed by I am not too worried... at least at the moment just waiting to see what happens next I guess. Worried about the rest of the figures tho yes. Hopefully that stage will get funded.
