Was banned for a week so I haven't been keeping up with the conversation surrounding the Arena. I ended up backing it for the Hogan, DDP, and Steiner so I'm bummed neither of those will be happening.

It's at 40% with like close to a month left a week and a half that passed by I am not too worried... at least at the moment just waiting to see what happens next I guess. Worried about the rest of the figures tho yes. Hopefully that stage will get funded. ...surely a huge percentage of people who wanted it will have already backed it though (to try and get the extra figure)? |

At this point I think Mattel should add Steiner to the base offering and make Hogan the 9k bonus figure.

I would think so,but, $400 is a lot on short notice. I am looking at it with a hopeful view but really hope that each Friday the needle jumps a decent amount until the end. |

I was thinking this. I feel that a lot of units would sell if everyone knew they were getting at least the stage, Hogan, and Rey. How does this make any sense? We already had the chance to be guaranteed Hogan, Rey and the stage and barely 2,000 people backed it. Those three together isn’t enticing enough for people. For all the people that are waiting until it reaches a certain number are hurting this as well. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t back it first and then cancel if it doesn’t look like it’s reaches your tier versus waiting to back until it reaches the tier. You’re just taking another number away from the total. You won’t get charged yet anyway. Because I’m sure there were a lot of people who didn’t bother backing it because they didn’t think it had a prayer of reaching 5.000 in a week, and thus would only be getting Rey Mysterio. But it did reach 2,000, with four weeks left still. If it continues at that pace, we would be approaching DDP going on Steiner with 7-10 days left in the crowdfund. |

Looking at it now, a stage and 5 figures Im totally ok with dropping $400 bones on it...But seeing as how Hogan is now out and its unlikely we're getting to Warrior, doubtful Steiner and doubtful DDP...Im paying $400 for a stage and a Rey Mysterio figure I could really care less if I had or not....Honestly whenever the end of the funding comes around if the bang isnt there for my buck, Im likely cancelling and backing out.

If this fails, they should pivot to vehicles. I want the Lex Express! Something like that to compliment the New Gen arena would've made more sense quite frankly. |

The thing is though, I feel like there were and are a lot of people who didn’t back early because either:
A) they thought there wasn’t a chance of it getting 5,000 before the April 7 deadline so why bother, especially if they didn’t care too much about the Hogan anyway
or B) that because if it reached 5,000 by April 7 then everyone got Hogan regardless of when they backed, they just wanted to wait until the very last week of the campaign to finally back

This is a lazy effort by Mattel. Hasbros crowd fund they’ve offered exclusive figures that aren’t currently in anyone’s collection. If you’re just gonna give us the same figures just do repaints to cut the cost. Or since Rey and hogan sell so well allegedly, put them towards the end.

In someways I would agree with you ... that since we have not seen Scott Steiner yet in this line ... that to me would have been the automatic 5,000. However, let's say they do a scale Raw entrance. I have a scale raw ring. I have a Raw entrance and if the only way I could get one new exclusive figure would be that I would have to buy and even larger more expensive entrance ... I don't think I would like that. So this is not easy to navigate. I do think Steiner would help put it over the top at 5,000. Trade Steiner for Hogan. |

I’m worried we are too close for them to amend yet too far away for people not to cancel at this stage.
I really want this stage. As much as I bummed I won’t get some of the figures.

You can’t really compare Hasbro Marvel line to Mattel’s WWE. Hasbro probably has access to the whole Marvel library of characters. Mattel only has wrestlers that the WWE OK for them to release who have legends or merchandise deals. Steiner is a figure that is a new name to the Mattel line, but besides his brother what WCW wrestler do they have under contract to make that hasn’t had figures already? They are at the mercy of who the WWE has signed and wants them to make. It’s not like Mattel can just put Raven, Buff Bagwell, Disco Inferno or any other WCW wrestler who was in WCW at the time. |
