Everybody went crazy for this when they saw the stage a year ago and everyone begged for it regardless of the figures. Now everyone is crying about this and that and why not this instead of that. If this doesn't get funded then I think you can kiss goodbye all of the wishes and wants of this board.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to say this (sorry, I have not read all 148 prior pages), but I think a lot more people would be all-in if we knew we'd get all the figures rather than hitting milestones. The fact that you might cough up $400 for just the stage and Mysterio, no figures beyond that, probably makes a lot of potential buyers unwilling to commit. I love the idea, and wish I had somewhere to display something like this. But now that Hogan's out, this thing is gonna have a tough time.

Again, this is just not how a crowdfund/ Kickstarter type campaign works. More $$$ = More room in the budget = More figures, accessories, etc. You’re not going to get everything for the minimum amount of backers. Sorry. |

For me, I'm not down to pay $800 CAD for this, regardless of what figures it comes with or how brilliant the stage is. That's almost a full month's rent gone to a toy that I don't even have the space to display. I can make the money work but I just don't want to allocate that much to something. It sucks that something you would love to support works in theory, but in reality it's just not feasible. 100% Had the campaign been going great and we were getting every figure then I'd be on with taking the $800 hit, but without them it's just very hard to justify. Although if we had the same payment options as the US does, I could at least lie to myself and justify it lol |

Not to mention those like me that will cancel just prior to 5k (before I am charged) because I solely funded to get HH but am waiting to see if Mattel course corrects... If they don't, I will cancel and the numbers decrease... no one will be charged until the crowdfund ends as long as it hits at least 5k I know that; I am saying that I will cancel mine right before it hits 5k, when I would be locked in to pay for it. |

I thought I would share a true story about my wrestling experience on a wrestling figure forum! What was I thinking?? I forgot how truly negative and nasty so many people were here so I deleted my post. Steve ... you deserve a raise for dealing with so much negativity. Thanks for answering questions and to the positive folks ... thanks ... I appreciate you! But too many negative and toxic people for me. Super 7 and Power Town are making figures that would fill gaps in your collection. Maybe you should look into them. |

Something to consider! It's clear that Steve is fighting for us to produce legends. Thank you. The Monday Night Wars with WCW iis a cool campaign with the WCW entrance available for the 1st Time and a great way to kick this off. Scott Steiner is offered for the first time and we have all longed for him and his brother. If there is a demand for this by US (the collectors) ... I could see going deeper into the WCW roster and past. With Endeavor who just purchased WWE ... being one of the best at aquiring talent .. this could probably open up more possibilities to Mattel and us. But all will look at Supply and demand. So my hope is that our collector team steps up for this new campaign for the entrance and package. LONG STORY but it can give some back story. In 1994 I went with Burt Reynolds to Wrestlemania 10. The night before I went out with Vice President Ed Cohen and Bob Backlund to dinner. I pitched to them - how Bob should consider an organic turn because he carried the WWF for 6 years as the champion and now look where this company is and where is your respect. You go crazy with the lack of respect from people etc ... they both beemed. Next day I was back stage with all the wrestlers and Burt. Met everyone and watched the event with the wrestlers. Vince was great! Backlund tried the gimmick ... it took off and he became the champion again. Vince knew I wrote for the tv series Evening Shade and asked if I would meet with him. He flew me to New York and then they drove me to Titan Towers for.a tour and then I went o his house for dinner and spent 3 hours. It was awesome. At the time he hated when I or anyone said wrestling ... all he wanted to hear was WWF. He knew what he was up against with Ted Turner and WCW and there was no love lost. Vince was concerned that although he would outwork anyone he was going up against endless money. He then took me with him on the road for a week to see how the business works. I loved it - but - as much as I love it - he lives, breathes and sleeps it. I woudl have never saw my family. I saw him a few more times throughout the years and was so impressed with not only his marketing skills but his love of the business. WCW vs WWF/WWE was such high stakes fighting to see which company would stay alive. Both products were great and they did whatever they could to up each other. Here is what I know about Vince. 1. He is business. If it makes sense for business he will do it. 2. He will forgive people who wronged him so never say never. 3. Although he won with WCW and bought them ... if it was me ... I would have owned the two leagues and run them like the NFC and the AFC. WWE and WCW. Butmy personal opinion is that Vince is such a great creator he felt that RAW vs SMACKDOWN would be the same but only he created it. WCW exists. There is a massive library and some products but to me ... if it went a way Vince wouldn't shed a tear. Is he proud he won? Hell yes! But if I was to guess he would be happier focusing on products he created. I shared this long story because as a fan ... I loved both WCW & WWF/WWE. I also loved AWA and NWA. WORLD CLASS WRESTLING ... so to make these off shoots we have to prove there is a market. If not I could see a big I told you so by the Chairman! Although I like him and admire his work ethic, vision, marketing etc ... In addition to loving WWE ... I love WRESTLING ... give me more legends. Let's get this WCW entrance stage and show all of them there is a market to produce more things outside of WWE. If we make this happen it will make it easier for Mattel to open the flood gates to prove it is good for business ... which is all Vince wants to hear. If not .. getting other leagues and figures becomes more difficult. I'll take an ounce of whatever your smoking He also helped Vince book the rise of The Rock and Stone Cold. |

Mattel could have really made this an event like every Monday until the end of the crowd fund reveal what the next tier would be or something g like that. Whoever is marketing this has no idea how to build hype. It’s like here it is…buy it.

The New Gen Arena had the perfect price point $250 (280 including shipping) for an Ultimate Ring and 3 figures, a ring with an ultimate figure sells for $140, Ultimates retail for 32.99,meaning the entrance stage and the extra set of ring skirts have an approximate value of $44 which seems fair.
Yes the nitro stage that was first seen at Axxess was amazing and everyone wanted one, personally I would have preferred a slightly scaled down version, anything over 20 inches in width is difficult to display. Maybe it would have been better if it was slightly smaller with less lights and only had DDP Steiner and any other name for $250.

Man the more and more I simmer on this the more I get buyers remorse..
Look at it like this 2000 of us are early backers. We're SEEING 5 figures and a stage for the money we dropped and we're like "yeah thats awesome deal"...but then tiers start to missing target and soon we very well could be looking at a great stage and a Rey Mysterio figure that really nobody is clamoring for....for the exact same price as we were thinking/hoping we were getting 5 figures for. Its almost like you're getting punished for being an early backer cause you're thinking/hoping for the loot but likely going to get stuck with a stage & a weak Ultimate figure.
