I created an account on this forum just to join this convo and add another voice to the fact that international shipping issues and non-clarity is killing this campaign. I only want the Rey, but honestly don’t care about the figures I just want the stage. Steve, please adjust and coarse correct by lowering tiers, adding Hogan in for people that want it, and fix the dang international issues - then advertise the changes. We can’t lower tier goals or do anything that would impact costs further. Those things were precisely calculated. The MC team already pushed to get this to $400 as it really should be much more. In regards to int pricing/shipping, not my call there but I’ll reiterate that I’ve passed along all feedback on this and will continue to do so. So doing something like putting the Hogan and Steiner at 5K, DDP at 7K, Rey at 9K, and keeping Warrior at 11K wouldn’t work? |

Regardless of what armchair toy designers/marketers think Mattel know what they’re doing. I guess Mattel really wanted this to be moving so slowly and it be near universally criticized for its issues, I mean as you said they know what they are doing so that must be the case. Don’t be a douche, I haven’t seen a single idea offered in this thread that would’ve funded this already aside from lowering the cost or adding ridiculous amounts of figures, neither of which was ever going to happen. Yes, they know what they’re doing: Hogan - big seller, Rey - big seller with multigenerational appeal, DDP - WCW hallmark of the time and probably the only way you’ll ever see Ultimate DDP, Steiner - brand new hard sell figure in his first heel attire and WCW Debut Warrior - big seller albeit probably the weakest of the bunch. I wish what was offered was a more intricate Hollywood Hogan or Dark Side Hogan instead of the Amazon figure with WCW shirts and wristbands, DDP in jeans, trunks Steiner, and Bischoff and Bagwell instead of Rey and Warrior, but then others would complain that Hogan should be WCW Hennig with 2-in-1 Mr. Perfect option, DDP wasn’t in his Triad attire and ‘I have to pay 400 dollars for trunks Steiner and Bischoff? Those were the only figures I ever wanted! Thanks Mattel, you’ve ruined my life!!!’. Wrestling figure collectors will never be happy. Besides, the superficial complaints do nothing to account for the main issues that appear to be stalling this thing, which are not having enough space for it, not wanting to drop 400 dollars, and the crazy upcharges for overseas collectors. The Stage should sell itself, the figures aside from Rey are gravy. |

-Our forum went nuts when they saw the WCW Entrance stage a year or two ago! Nuts!
-So many people - myself included, begged to make it happen.
-In looking at the size, lighting, mass etc ... we knew if they ever were to make it, it would be significantly more expensive than the NEW GEN RING.
-We saw the announcement that it was coming. WCW (something we have not had yet and a step before RAW which is bigger and more expensive)
-The massive design in look, realism and versatility was over the top!! The planning, and marketing were all there.
-We saw the reveal and everything was transparent over the top!
-The second it was available, I ordered mine. I don't have to wait to see who else will jump in.
-It was introduced at Wrestlemania! Marketing with videos, youtube, Instagram, facebook, more videos. Wrestlers - panels. All GREAT!
People say I would get it in a second if I could get the whole thing. Well, do it and maybe there will be enough of you to put us over the top. If not - you can back out.
I hear the people out of the country and have heard Steve multiple times say he hears you and is deferring to people within the company that might be able to help. In the meantime, I offered to send you the item at the minimal legal cost with not a 1 cent upcharge. I know it's not the same but I care about collectors and if you want it I want to do my best to help you. But forgive the pun but it's all a little foreign to me about shipping overseas.

I have a strong feeling this will get backed, now that Hogan is out of the picture, there's no rush to get one just yet, still basically a month away. Gives people plenty time to save up money.
I see it making the 5k, and possibly DDP, by that time the fomo will start striking down upon people and they'll push the button finally.
Perhaps adding Hogan back permanently can reignite the fund.
Maybe rushing people for 7 days put people off, what if the base stage included Hogan and Rey? Who knows, 2 guaranteed figures are indeed better than 1, and needed 5k to back it anyway for the Hogan.
Regardless, I hope it gets it, I want it too cause I want the raw stage that I still have no room for 😂

The New Gen Arena had the perfect price point $250 (280 including shipping) for an Ultimate Ring and 3 figures, a ring with an ultimate figure sells for $140, Ultimates retail for 32.99,meaning the entrance stage and the extra set of ring skirts have an approximate value of $44 which seems fair. Yes the nitro stage that was first seen at Axxess was amazing and everyone wanted one, personally I would have preferred a slightly scaled down version, anything over 20 inches in width is difficult to display. Maybe it would have been better if it was slightly smaller with less lights and only had DDP Steiner and any other name for $250. Sure $250 would have been a much more palatable price but we gave it a shot of executing the stage as accurately as possible. It’s kinda what having the option of crowdfunding is all about. And people did seem to overwhelmingly want it as is at the time. But here we are… With 26 days left and less than 3,000 backers needed I believe it'll get done, maybe the set isn't for me but I'm sure many others still plan on getting it, after all it does look super cool, a USB C port and an always on option that's 👌🏼. |

That’s something I wished the NGA stage had. Kinda sucks when I shoot for my shows and have to get up every five minutes to press the button on the back, especially when I’m on a roll. |

I would rather people save up to get the WCW ring than buy my book ...  . but if you like Burt Reynolds - I think one would appreciate the stories! I was blessed to know him for 32 years. One fun wrestling chapter in the book with tons of pics ... But if people don't believe me I could care less. I was just sharing a story and my insight for those who cared ... the rest is a lot of negative noise that I feel so bad for Steve that he has to deal with. Bill left because of it. If I misread your earlier comments, my fault. Completely sorry about that. I read the whole “it is what it is” as a sign you may have been looking to give up already. For me, where there is a will there’s a way and I don’t want to see this fail nor do I really want to hear any talk as such. There’s still a lot of time to fix things and there are other ideas I have but I know for a fact they aren’t feasible. You have more power than us in this situation and I know you could do something to help this pass and get more people to back it. I just want to see it happen, and NOT by the way to have a live stream with Sam Roberts (who by the by I’ve heard a few stories about but that isn’t for this thread) and DDP doing the whole “back in my day” old man thing that I’m sure just put more people to sleep than it did getting folks excited to back this thing. One thing that most definitely should be done is to adjust the international shipping and price as reading these comments, a lot of your international crowd feels like they’ve been left out and got the short end of the stick. We’d see an immediate pop with Hogan as a permanent addition, lower tiers, and especially that international price fixed. The international fix alone I’m sure would put us near or over the 5,000 mark. My insta and Twitter is the same as my username here. I’d love to be able to interact more and to try to help if I can. It is what it is is me not getting bent out of shape if this ultimately doesn’t fund. Gotta keep a level head here. I’ve passed on all international comments to the MC team. It’s a bit out of my hands other than following up with the regularly and advising. Hogan added back…yes, it’s better than no Hogan but is that the best solution? I’m just not sure. No. Switch Hogan with DDP and Rey with Stiener. Do it Monday and you can make DDP the final week late bird figure to get to 5k. I'm positive doing this will prove you are listening and giving this campagin the shot it needs to reach the goal. Still 2 figures and a stage. Just DDP and Steiner, not Hogan or Rey! I will back another if you do this! |

What if it instead of tiers of units sold it went by when you order? 2,000 by first week-gets hogan 3,000 x date gets DDP 5,000 by deadline Steiner 7,000 last day gets all. This would give fans a chance to get them all and also incentive to order early and give pressure to order by every deadline Of course the people who order early keep getting them all as deadlines approach. Well we need 5K units to move forward at all. That’s our MOQ (minimum order quantity) negotiated with the factory for this particular item. Any less and the cost skyrockets and the item becomes an impossibility. I get that but I am saying you don’t get them unless it’s fully backed but it gives people that order earlier incentives instead of waiting til later and it doesn’t get backed. There’s 4 weeks left we’ll say. Every order placed in each week unlocks a tier. Much like Hogan. So the 2,000 people got hogan. This Friday if it gets to 3,500 buys everyone ordering before gets DDP also The Friday after if it gets 5,000 it’s backed and you get Steiner Then the final week if it gets to 7,000 everyone gets warrior. If people skip and wait til the last 2 weeks they don’t get DDP and Hogan. Instead of rewarding everyone it reward the early backers |

You can’t rearrange the tiers after people already backed it. You’re then assuming that the people that had already backed it weren’t interested in the Rey and then you’re taking it away from them. This is what was offered. We either like it and back it, or don’t. We are lucky that Steve is even interacting with us at all on this. We really shouldn’t have any input whatsoever. This isn’t some main line item. It’s an exclusive offering. The feedback is in if we back it or not. All of these “opinions” are unnecessary and frankly show how little some people know about marketing, production, etc. For example, you stated earlier that Mattel would be making 4.4 million. Mattel is not walking away with a net profit of 4.4 million with 11,000 backers. You literally didn’t even take into account the production cost. For everyone saying “lower the tiers,” please stop making a fool of yourself. Steve even touched on this earlier. You need a certain number of backers to reach a certain revenue to reach a possibility of producing another figure. It is not financially possible for them to make all five figures and the stage for 5,000 backers. It’s ludicrous to even suggest that. The thing people are forgetting is we are not owed anything. Steve and the Mattel team worked hard to create an exclusive item that can only be made in a crowdfunding type scenario. It doesn’t NEED to be made, but it can be made if we want. If you don’t like the price, then don’t buy it. If you don’t like the figures, then don’t buy it. But enough with the negativity and suggestions. They worked hard on this, this was the offering we got, and we can simply choose to back it or not. It’s truly that simple. |

That’s something I wished the NGA stage had. Kinda sucks when I shoot for my shows and have to get up every five minutes to press the button on the back, especially when I’m on a roll. Changing the batteries every two months is a hassle as well. The option of an always on display should be an improvement. |

Could you move Scott Steiner up to where Hulk was? Which I think would get us to the 5,000 and put his brother Rick where Scott was on the tier? People might fight harder to get those two brothers together in those outfits. Doesn't mean they can't make other Ricks & and Scott's but just a thought.

Steve, thank you for interacting with us especially on Easter. I absolutely love the nitro stage and want it really bad. Of course i want everything unlocked but I'll glady pay even if it's just the stage and mysterio. I'm really worried about this getting backed so I'm hoping there is something, anything you can do. Maybe moving the tiers around? I think steiner lower would definitely get this funded. Also any chance of either adding hogan back or giving him to the people that already backed? Thanks again for everything you do for us!
