I hope it fails, just to see a fix about Mattel creation prices and better figures in solo. We are not cashcow.

So you want people to not talk bad about the set because you are scared people won't buy it if they see people giving their negative opinions...yeah that's not gonna happen. If what you want/support cannot stand up to criticism then that's on it not the people giving their thoughts. Bootlicking for corporations never makes any one more receptive to ideas. Oh look it's my wfig stalker... No I said the positives Negatives It's huge I don't need a Warrior I wish the wcw us belt was newer style. Damn it's gonna take another year to get here. I could use that 400 on some other items but since I have payment options 100 won't break my bank. Why couldn't Rey have been his starcade look too bad Dean malenko is not with wwe anymore. Why wasn't ddp in his black wcw world Title look. But I'm not clapping on it and telling people it's all dorky don't waste money Mattel will learn they will do what I want next time. My brother in christ, this is a form of like a 100ish active users, no one is stalking you, it's a small community š. I've never seen anyone say those things, it's mostly people saying the project wasn't executed greatly and they don't think it's worth what they are charging for it.

Ooh, I really hope that this is going to become a thing, where every time Mattel parades out a crowdfunding project, one WF user takes it upon themselves to lead the charge and begin demanding that people back it and demanding that people with critiques or concerns keep them to themselves. Well don't worry cause apparently if/when this one fails we'll never see one ever again and Mattel is gonna drop the WWE licence and pick up the UFC one because maybe they'll have a successful crowdfund š¤£.

Sorry I thought you were the guy who bashes me for stating I couldn't find the pre order. And I'm saying that if it's for you the stage do it if it's not fine but hoping it fails or deluding others that Mattel will learn and try again when the harsh reality is while Steve and Bill may care the higher ups could care less. Wwe is not the top seller and people on the fence should know it only takes one failed funder to never have another.

Status Report. After the first day we are at 1,069 backers. I figure that is a good sign, considering it is a Wednesday. How this looks Monday morning will be a big test, and how this looks the next Friday evening will be another test, as this will get us through Wrestlemania weekends and also 2 different paydays, so assuming most people get paid bi-weekly, then everyone good number of people will have had a payday. Plus, that second Friday, is the 7th, and that is the cutoff for the Hogan early bird.
I am positive this will reach the 5,000 minimum, and probably before the Hogan early-bird is done. I am pretty confident on the 7,000 for DDP, and mostly confident on the 9,000 for Steiner. The one I don't think we will hit will be the 11,000 for Warrior, but for me personally, that (and Rey) are the least desirable from this group.

A: That's on Hasbro (or any other company) for not offering up an enticing enough product for what they are trying to charge. It's not the consumers fault and blaming them never works. B: A year ago a carton of eggs wasn't almost 10 dollars and I could fill my tank up for less than 20 bucks. Maybe, just maybe, inflation skyrocketing and companies jacking up prices left and right could possibly effect the willingness of buyers to crowdfund things and maybe companies have clocked that the well is drying up.

The tier unlock numbers are too high. Seems like Mattel overshot on this one sadly Like in their minds it's a deal for people because MOTU funded a $550 Eternia playset But the figures seem out of reach, and they are the easiest thing mattel can make. I think they factor in how many units they need to make to start turning a profit. Could they still be inflating the numbers a bit? We have no idea and we never will. Yeah, this seems to be the piece people are missing. There are profit targets that are set, and they work backwards from there. When Steve says that there's no room for adding content, that's exactly what it means. Mattel isn't making this to fulfill our childhood dreams. They're making it to turn a profit. And if it can't hit the targets, then the big bosses would just as well it fail and move on to other projects. Steve has explained how and why they were able to add Macho last year. I have a feeling people are sitting out hoping Mattel will sweeten the pot and keep throwing in more content. Seems pretty foolish to me.

If they had any chance to have renders for the final product, it sure be drawing some extra people to buy. "Older fans" know what to expect from the Warrior or Mysterio, younger ones may not have a clue what to expect from that Warrior!

Halloween Havoc Macho would have been my pick, but I also get not wanting to include him or Nash twice in a row. And we have zero clue what true costs are or how Mattel is allocating budget. But the package is excellent and has great value if you compare it to literally any other crowd fund project. If it doesn't get backed, that says a lot more about the collector base than anything else.

I'm genuinely confused why people are down on the Warrior. His Nitro debut was a huge deal. I still have it recorded on VHS. His Halloween Havoc attire is probably my favorite look of his career but the match was awful. His debut on Nitro though, despite what the slander DVD said, was a time and place moment for fans, essentially 8 years in the making. And the duster was awesome, so maybe not seeing that is turning people off, but that's a Defining Moment for both Warrior and Nitro. IMO it's because of the 2019 Ultimate WCW Warrior. We all want to commemorate Warrior in WCW (or at least have it represented), but the run was so lackluster that we simply don't need two iterations of it. If this was a first appearance of WCW Warrior in the Ultimate line, we'd be over the moon, whether it was him in the Halloween Havoc attire or jeans. But it's the second AND now it's seemingly a step down (anything with jeans gives that perception IMO). Yeah, it's a cool figure, but I think it's a miss as a stretch goal that we're supposed to WANT to reach. The Halloween Havoc Ultimate sells for $200 on eBay now. Also, Warrior was only in 3 matches in WCW, one on Nitro, and he wore a different attire every time. So none of the ring gear looks are more iconic to his WCW run than this one. His Nitro debut pulled a 6.4 rating and the story proceeded to pull the highest ratings in WCW history (the highest in wrestling history to that point) in the next two weeks. To each their own if you don't want it but it was a great pick for this set.

Must be yeah, they posted the numbers in the FAQ page. Shipping surcharge is $40 CAD for Canada. Fair enough. But $400 US is not converted to $655 CAD, it's $542. So there's still the $113 discrepancy. Shipping is not duties and import taxes, which are the remaining numbers you didn't factor in. That's out of Mattel's control. If anyone is to blame, the government is to blame. I get that this thing is expensive but I don't understand why people continue to villify Mattel over taxes or charges that we as customers are legally required to pay upon importing items into our country. Some companies don't even calculate these for you at checkout. Would you rather be hit with a surprise customs bill from the courier and they hold your package until you pay up? Cause that's the other option here. "You are responsible for any applicable taxes and duties on all items and services purchased by you...Any order being shipped to a destination outside of the United States may be subject to incremental import duties and taxes. Custom and tariff fees may apply according to your country's import laws. These fees are not collected by Mattel, and Mattel does not have control of these fees. When placing an order on one of Mattelās Family of Brands sites, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Charges for duties, taxes, and the carrier's collection fee are in addition to your shipping charge and must be paid by you."

Well after full 24 hours we are a little over 20%. I think this is a decent showing with all things considered. Today gonna be a day of reveals so hoping we get 500 to 600 new backers at least. Tomorrow on payday and day before Wrestlemania starts we NEED to be at close to 50% funded in my opinion. Canāt wait to see how it goes!

Unfortunately I donāt think this is even getting past 3k by the cut of date next week, I think itāll struggle to get the DDP figure released. Theyāve shot themselves in the foot by overcharging international buyers and removing the PayPal pay in 4 option, itās essentially up to American buyers to get this funded
