You know what would have been a great Ali exclusive? A 2-pack of Superman vs Muhammed Ali.  Based on that old giant Treasury Edition comic from the ‘70s. NECA did that like 6-7 years ago.  |

Trying to think of any one else that they could release two different UE versions of the same person that would make sense. Tyson in suit (Raw) and WM14 comes to mind. Boxer Tyson would be cool too but there’s no connection to wrestling with him as a boxer. Maybe LT in suit (RR95) and WM11 but doubt many would want anything other than WM11 LT. Tyson definitely makes sense, but they would have to have one of the attires of him in his boxing gear. I know he never wore it in the WWF/E, but I don't think him in a tux and him in the gear at WM14 would be that appealing. I think they could do the same thing for Tyson that they did for Ali. One in his classic boxing attire and one in the look he had at WM14. If they wanted to throw in the suit from raw when he and Austin went at it, they could do that as an extra accessory. Have the box look like this, but instead of Tyson in his WM14 gear in the image with Shawn, just have the figure of Tyson in his boxing gear throwing a punch like the image below. WWE loves to re-write history, why not do it for their figures too... Looking forward to this. Unless it’s in NES Punch-Out packaging, I’d have no interest in a Tyson.

Best. Exclusive. Ever.
I'm a huge wrestling, boxing, and Ali fan - so this hits all the spots for me(!). And the packaging is absolutely fantastic...
Really hope I can snag one - but no doubt I'll end up paying £100+ on the aftermarket... 🥴

Not sure why there’s such a call for Tyson to be a SDCC exclusive. I’m as desperate for a Tyson in the collection as the next guy but we need him as either a regular/legends UE or just in the Elite line - either way, he’s far too popular in the wrestling world for a limited run, he needs mass release.
Ali is cool but Tyson would be much more sought after by wrestling collectors.

That being said, Tyson is a name that fits what Mattel is trying to do with their SDCC exclusives. The ideal figure for that spot would be the confrontation with Stone Cold on Raw. Tyson in a suit and Austin in Jorts and 3:16 shirt. If they could somehow get away with doing middle fingers since it’s a SDCC exclusive then that would put it over the top. |

Do an SDCC exclusive of the "Tyson/Austin" brawl suit look (either as two-pack or have the Tyson figure "pushing" Austin on the box the way the Ali figure is raising Hogan's hand). Then later that year a regular Elite or Ultimate of Tyson in black pants with DX and Austin 3:16 shorts. |

My thoughts.....
Muhammad Alis appearance at Wrestlemania was one of the most lost in the shuffle celebrity appearances in the history of Wrestlemania.
It was at a time when let's be honest - he was a sympathy figure, and a grim reminder of the harsh realities of boxing.
However, he got into his role very well, he played a babyface referee great, and when he lunged at Cowboy Bob Orton when the match lost control, for me it was one of the highlights of Wrestlemania and it seemed that Orton legitimately agitated Ali in that moment.
They can really milk Wrestlemania 1 with the SDCC exclusives I feel. They got Ali, great! Now let's get Cyndi Lauper and Liberache. I will try to get them all.
It's great that I don't want it so badly that it's going to agitate me, the groundswell and hype that this will pick up before it goes on sale. Last year I was getting really agitated at the social media hype for the No Holds Barred figure because my thinking was the more people know about it, the more people will want it, the less chances I have of getting it.

Still available after 30 minutes. Wonder if showing off Long, Cone, and Mr T figures yesterday hurt the demand of the ref version of Ali amongst WWE collectors.
