I ordered this, but with everything else hitting soon I’m kinda regretting it.

Spielberg sold out. That makes 2. Predicting Motherboard goes next, the Chicken Walker Hot Wheel, the JP Hot Wheel, then Ali.

One week later and this Ali set is still up on Mattel Creations. What's going to happen to that WM1 Retro bundle with Ali next up?

I'd answer, but I'd be accused of being negative and critical.
I hope Series 4 sells amazingly well, and the Ali/Hogan one does not, and Mattel sees the numbers and can course correct (though by that point, I guess 6-7 will already be in the pipeline -- which makes me worried for the future)

I wish slaughter was like this, or even NHB.

...and if I said this doesn't surprise me that Ali is still available?

Time to put Ali on clearance. Half price and I'll buy one.

What a disaster. The Steiner Brothers would have sold out first day.

It’s a lousy set, and I’m glad I passed on it. Low effort this time around when compared to SDCC exclusives from the past.

I think the effort is strong -- I just think a huge misperception of demand by WWE collectors and especially outside collectors.
One thing we also don't discuss -- think how much extra money Mattel probably had to pay to even get the rights to make figures of Ali. Then it sells poorly. So it's a double loss for Mattel.

So Mattel can spend money to sign Ali but not wrestling legends? I bet an Adam Bomb UE or Kona Crush UE fig would have sold better than this.

WWE has a roster of current and legend talent that Mattel licenses. If someone is not under a WWE contract then Mattel aren’t making them nor are they pursuing anyone themselves.

That’s fair. I myself was excited when I found out it was Ali, as he’s an all time great fighter. The execution is just not there on either figure, unfortunately.

Did Mattel give you any problems with not allowing cancellations on preorders?
