I know Steve and Bill do everything they can but after Thurday's abysmal showing someobody needs to let WWE know that we NEED these legends and if they don't get signed soon the Mattel line might be finished sooner than later. Money should not be a factor after they just made a quabillion dollar sale. I'm not saying all of these people have got to be signed but at least half. 1 The Macho Man- How in the world is WWE not giving everything the estate ask for??? He is one of the big three with Hulk Hogan and Warrior. Mind blowing we're having this conversation. 2 Demoliton- 2 and 3 could be swapped but I putting Demolition here because they only have one set so far. Facepaint, leather and a huge name tag team equal money. How are we having this conversation?? 3 The Road Warriors-Again, face paint, spikes and a huge name equal money. 4 Ric Flair- So many looks they can still do with his robe collection. A toy maker's dream 5 Sting- This one is different since Sting chose to leave himself but again, throw money at him. HE'S WORTH IT!! 6 The Killer Bees- These guys wouldn't cost as much and you could probably just do one set but very toy worthy looks. Would sell big. 7 Hercules Hernandez- Not many looks but one name that would excite the middle age collectors that are at least 70 percent of the elite and Ultimate line base. Oh yea and get the freaking Steiner Brothers out as soon as possilbe, they DON'T HAVE TO BE ULTIMATES!! I know we will have a few smart mouths but honestly, out of all you raional thinking people would you not trade nicholas and Mike Cone for ONE of these guys?? I feel you will start seeing lines canceled if we go down the road that was started yesterday. Can we trade lives please? I want a life where I get totally triggered and worked up over toys ,and not actual first world problems! I love collecting as much as anyone and I just leer and gaze at my MOC collection for longer that I should, but at the end of the day, they're just toys. There are far more important things going on. It really is great to be passionate about something, but please keep in mind that, again, they're just toys. Nobody’s better than each other, you’re trying to get a validation hit off of making fun of him for complaining about being passionate about something .let him be …life is hard as it is like you said..this is our escape from the rat race 9-5 shtthole most of us are stuck for whatever reason

This was an excellent SDCC for Mattel, they are crushing it.
Every year there seems to be a small group of naysayers and complainers online (after SDCC). They always think they represent the overall opinion of our community. Here in a month or so they'll all fade away into the abyss. They only come around to complain, not celebrate such a fun hobby. Weird how that works, eh?

It's been clear for some time now that Mattel will never be able to go deep with legends as Jakks. I'm sure it's due to numerous reasons. You must keep in mind that ToysRUs and K.B. no longer exist. They were around for Jakks. Jakks also produced cheaper quality figures. If you just consider those two factors alone it's a bit clearer. I for one would love more legends as those guys are from when I grew up. It must not make business sense for Mattel at this time. There are wrestlers I feel like Adam Bomb who would make a great looking figure. There's something not right business-wise to make it happen. I have collected this line from the start and have hundreds of figures. I am at the point where I'm just not going to buy another of the 10 guys they keep producing. I hope Powertown can get off the ground and make the figures I know Mattel can not make. I'll pay the premium. Just understand it's never going to happen with Mattel.

Nothing is worth that; what I am doing though is trying to point out some perspective that there is no reason to get worked up for toys. That is what bros are supposed to do for bros. If I ever need a check for anything, I would hope that someone would have me keep priorities straight. I am firmly in the camp of not throwing stones at glass houses as I am nowhere near perfect nor do I want or claim to be. If one is "stuck in a rat race and shtthole" then I would hope that the escape from that (in this case being toys), would allow for positivity and not dwell on negativity. We should all count our blessings in life. I am sure that O.P., from all of the drops that were made, could find at least something to like, and, again, not dwell on what wasn't released.

At this point, I’m starting to hope more than ever a 1/6 high end company swoops in and gets the wwe licence. I think Mattel do a good job. I’ve been higher on the product in the past. My biggest gripe is the lack of information about Macho UE cancelation. If only they had a way of communicating to their consumers what happened??? 🙄
I’d love to see Enterbay, Threezero or Hot Toys get the license and make super high end 1/6 scale figures. Start with the legends and release 4-6 per year. Yes I know Storm made Hogan, but without anyone else at the scale, it’s seems a little narrow to add them.
SDCC was a little flat for me this year. Certainly not bad, just flat.

Thankfully, there are over a dozen Macho Man elites, and two ultimates already. There are multiple Ric Flair elites. The Road Warriors/LOD and Demolition have been made. It's not the end of the world. 👆 (In fact, there are 3 Macho UEs, counting the New Gen arena one. And 3 different versions of the Road Warriors/LOD too...)

I'm a Hogan fan...but man we seen a LOT of him this go around & only one was a version I was clamoring for "Hulk Still Rules". I was disappointed with the attire choice fur the CC Harts too. Same as the Elites. I was hoping for heels with Silver Taggers. Money saved I guess. Well the Hart Foundation attires made sense as the line is supposed to be based off their LJN’s. If they weren’t part of the CC then I would have loved either the WM2 or WMIII attires.

Oh I get that aspect but it's still the same attire as their previous elite release which was very disappointing to me. I hadnt realised they were going to be so rigid. There will be plenty of folks like me that will pass. For the price theres zero justification for me to get them. Hopefully all pink heel attire with silver tags belts turns up in Legends 💪

Ah, the post SDCC melodramatic thread titles.
Was this the most jaw dropping SDCC? No. But there was something for everyone, whether you collect classic eras, the main roster, or NXT. Overall the figures look great and Mattel keeps doing top notch work. And they continue to look for creative ways to give us more figures, like including more BAFs and going beyond the traditional suited figures.
At this point in the line, I don't want to and can't buy everything. My space is already pretty close to maxed out, and I'm considering starting to rotate displays.
Not having Savage had an obvious impact - there is a small number of anchor talents, and not having two of the most colorful (Sting & Savage) has to be tough to design around.

I love the fact that Mattel is digging deep and producing figures of The Sultan and Unmasked Rey. Unmasked Rey alone seemed like a figure that Mattel would never make happen. Terry Gordy and Captain Lou are awesome to add to the line. Fake Diesel is absolutely hilarious, and will be a very fun figure to have in my collection. I get being disappointed if you set your expectations really high. Looking at some of the names Panini has access to, it gets my hopes up a bit too. I don’t take this hobby all that seriously, and it helps me enjoy it all so much more. We’ve all invested money into this line, but that’s been our choice to do so. The moment something like this becomes a chore, or a bore, is the moment a person should take a step back.
