As corporate as WWE is now, they will never allow Mattel to openly sign whoever they want. Wwe might not. But endeavor could. Pretty sure Ari stated during the announcement of the merger that he’ll be hands off on WWE and leave everything up to Vince. And yes, obviously things can change, but if they didn’t drop Dana White after getting caught slapping his wife and there seems to be no evidence that they care about everything Vince has done, I doubt anything will change.

I'm so confused, we've gotten a thousand hogans in the past year or so and are gonna get a thousand more. We got two Mr. America's in the same wave alone via the chase. We got Desert Storm Hogan. We got Hogan with the goofy hat and license plate. We're getting so many Hogans you could make an entire shelf just of Hogans and still not have enough room.
I saw SDCC and I'm not even kidding, one of my biggest thoughts was "Wow, I bet theman is gonna be thrilled with these reveals" AND YET.
Please, what more do you want?

I'm kind of upset we haven't gotten enough nWo UE Hogans. We only got one nWo UE Hogan. We need one with his Terminator styled boots (maybe altered because of copyrights) and another Wolfpac with white and red flamed boots. None of the nWo Hogans have that sweeeet tan either. We need more Rick Steiners and Scottys too. GIVE ME THIS DAMMIT

GIVE ME THIS DAMMIT Sometimes I wonder what would happen if Mattel/WWE stopped making women's figures altogether and just put one Hogan in every wave instead. I wonder if that would feed the savage beast. Personally? I don't own a single Hogan figure and, if I ever buy one, it will be because it comes in that Target 4 Pack that I really just want the other 3 figures from.

shanieomaniac I'll be honest, for me every red and yellow trunks Hogan is practically the same besides the change of headscan due to era. I can't differentiate a Hulk from when he body slammed Andre to when he teamed up with Mr.T. I'm surprised we've gotten so many variations of Hulk considering that they're all similar too. I feel the same way about the Ultimate Warrior, but at least he looked somewhat different. I wish we had more Stings man, especially Crow Sting because he was my favorite and overlooked.

Oh I fully agree on the Stings. We should have gotten more of him, I feel. The lack of Elite WCW Crow Stings wounds me greatly to this day, and I'm still salty about that Legends figure that got yanked out from under us. There was so much left in the tank from him that I fear with him now in AEW and Jazwares unable to make anything from WWE/WCE, we will never get to see. But then, that seems to be the way it is with Mattel/WWE. People talk about them dropping the ball, I feel like they've become hyperfocused on Hogans due to his unpredictability and them fearing backlash if Hogan goes off the rails again and they can't make him anymore. I just wish they'd put this effort into some of their other Legends Contracts. Those things seem to hang like swords of damocles and it always leaves a bad taste in people's mouths when they end.

shanieomaniac I also felt like the Stings we got were a bit all over the place, but that's a different convo for another place. Don't remind me, I REALLY wanted that '96 Crow Sting. It was a beaut. As far as Hogan goes, if he leaves or his contract expires I wouldn't feel anything to be honest. I felt the same way about Macho, we were lucky to get so many great looks. There was something for everyone, but it didn't hurt my collection. There was probably a Mach or two that I wanted, but nothing for me to really feel much about. I think those two attires were '96 and '97 Halloween Havoc Macho Mans. I don't get the deal with AEW, Sting wore a singlet there at one point and all they've been doing is giving everyone the same shirted Sting. I think Mattel should start giving RVD's the Hogan treatment as well then. He's had so many great attires and so many little figures.

The only thing that depresses me about Macho is that we missed out on the UE re-release of the DM figure. That was one I've always wanted because I missed out the first time and I would have happily added that as my goto Macho, no others needed. But, it is what it is. There was once a point where we thought we would never get Macho figures at all. And we got so many. I feel the same way about Rey Mysterio. He could leave for AEW tomorrow and his contract evaporate and I don't think anyone could really complain (that is, unless him leaving tomorrow would mean we never see that unmasked Rey which *would* be tragic, so lets hope he spends at least a little more time in WWE). Undertaker is the same way, we've gotten so SO many looks. But, at the same time, now RVD is in AEW, and we might be back in the same boat as before where they can't make figures of him. Again. RVD's looks were so epic why hasn't he ever been given the Hogan treatment? Is it because he's not as big a draw? Probably, but people are always talking about 'Toyetic' figures, I don't know how much more pop and colorful you can get than RVD's singlets! I dunno. It just strikes me how sometimes we get the deepest cuts for certain legends (Like, was anyone really screaming for a Farrooq Asad?) but others, like Attitude Era and ECW Dudleys just never happen.

I'll agree and say it was a nice figure indeed. I had the original DM when it came out I believe around 2011? Makes me feel like a damn fossil. That unmasked Rey feel so damn surreal, I mean think of the possibilities now. You can have Rey unmasked with a mask as an accessory, camo pants Rey in baby blue etc. Just so much possibilities. I have a feeling that they need to release that unmasked Rey ASAP, you never know if WWE changes their mind at some point. Haha, you ruined my day by telling me RVD appeared in AEW, hopefully he has the same deal as Billy Gunn. If not, I'm going to be pissed. I loved the tiger striped RVDs, but I wanted more from the early 2000's period and while the details were always great. I always thought Mattel RVD's always had chicken legs and those awful painted on biker trunks. Same. No offense to anyone, but I don't care for any of the New Gen 80s jobbers or someone like Vinnie Vegas. It's cool to see them represented, but I'd rather have the popular looks before going into more obscure characters.
